We’re looking for a Conceptual Editor who can bring narratives, products and experiences to life through footage and simple motion design.
This creative is obsessed with combining footage, audio, animation, copy and photography, to create impactful stories and content.
Everything from strong manifesto videos and branded films to simple social content edits, TIKTOK’s and Instagram Reels.
Conducts meticulous research to make consistent narratives in edit, compositions, and color, while ensuring an edit in precise and impactful play with audio
Successfully executes projects within established budgets and time frames, on strategy, and per client
Specific Duties :
Editing everything from broadcast work to short-form social content to long-form web videos
Partners effectively with other creatives and across agency multidisciplinary teams
Resourceful researcher; has their finger on the pulse of the creative industry and the visual and audio space.
Constant learner and student of new editing trends, motion trends and technologies
Augment and develop creative techniques, research and incorporate new technology
Will develop an in-depth understanding of client requirements to properly coordinate and guide clients through the creative process
Edit, design and animate individually or as part of a team depending on project needs
Deliver simple visual photographic storyboards
Prepping of projects for finish as well as handling final conform and delivery of projects
Working with agency creatives and producers to achieve the best possible results on their projects
Partner with producers to help set timelines and delivery dates based on the creative and the budget
On certain projects the Editor will be working without agency creatives and will be expected to drive the project creatively and come up with solutions on their own
Job Requirements :
5+ years of experience as an Editor in a production house that specializes in marketing materials or an internal agency studio.
Experience with taking a written manifesto / brief and turning it into an impactful visual and audio story that portrays the essence of a given concept
Skilled in the latest version of the Adobe Creative Suite
Applicable knowledge of After Effects
Produce look-tests based on provided reference materials, and create mood-boards / project mock-ups that outline the thinking and inspires the final edit
Strong editing capabilities and a great eye for graphic design
Experience with sound design and an obsession in making audio and video play meticulously together.
Basic production skills
Comfortable on both Mac and PC OS
Promote consistency within projects, files, and folder structures
A strong sense of initiative, work ethic, and team spirit is paramount
Work within the project requirements and production deadlines to complete all tasks
Organizational skills and the ability to integrate with the company’s organizational standards
Expert-level in Premiere Pro. Proficient in After Effects, Resolve, Photoshop and Illustrator
Deep technical understanding of video and the post-production pipeline
Passionate, driven, proactive, curious and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
Strong sense of priorities with the ability to manage multiple asks / tasks.
Strong working knowledge of current editing styles across a variety of platforms. From traditional platforms such as Youtube and TV, to the more contemporary platforms such as TIKTOK and Instagram Reels.
Experience working with various design styles from, photo-real and highly stylized videos to simple illustrative videos.
Working knowledge of the software and hardware used in the post-production process
