Key Job Responsibilities
The role holder will contribute to theperformance of the hotel by implementing the sequence service to ensure guestsatisfaction.
The Food Server is responsible for taking orders and ensures thatcustomers are enjoying their meals. Waiter / Waitress takes action to correct anyproblems andmunicates with customers to resolveplaints, and they areresponsible for handling the cash register systems and sales transactions(makes change, cashes checks, and issues receipts to customers).
Restaurants is set up to standard and clean.
Polishing of cutlery and crockery.
Tables and couches are clean and well balanced.
Windows, walls, and ledges Floors and surroundingfixtures are clean.
Sweetener & sugar containers and salt & pepper arefull and clean.
Greet customers with a smile upon their arrival or whenseated.
Present customers upon arrival with the menu, assist intheir item selection, take orders and serve food and beverage in a timelymanner.
Take appropriate action to resolve guestplaints.
Food and beverage stock is stored in relation to hotelprocedures.
Make sure you provide a friendly, professional and timelyservice at all times and report immediately any discrepancies / customercomplaints to the Asst. F&B Manager.
Assist in the induction training of new employees.
To be active on the floor, interact with the customer andcheck their satisfaction.
Bid farewell for the customers while leaving the Lobbylounge.
Process payment transactions by collecting payment(through cash, check or electronic card), making change, and handing outreceipts as per standard procedures.
Maintain knowledge of current sales, policies regardingpayments and security practices, in order to ensure policies are adhered to atall times.
Open / close cash registers on a daily basis, count money,ensure cash control is maintained, perform handover when applicable and reportany discrepancy.
Drive promotions that deliver great dining experiencesfor the guests at a good value and identify additional sales opportunities toenhance revenue.
Ensure all financial transactions are handled in a securemanner.
Follow proper food and beverage inventory procedures,replenish supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimising waste.
Receive food and beverage orders from the order taker,directly or via phone, according to established standards. Follow standards andactively sell food and beverage, take restaurant reservations and refer anyrequests for private dining to Assistant F&B Manager.
Set-up Room Service tables according to standards forfood and beverage ordered.
Deliver orders quickly and accurately. All orders servedat correct temperatures, with correct condiments and garnishes according toestablished delivery standards.
Ask guests where they would like the trolley positioned,arrange chairs and rearrange settings on the table preparing theroom / table / trolley and serve food to standards.
Inform the guest of tray pickup procedure and refer to the pick-up card.
Pick up room service tables within set timeframe of theguest calls and be observant of the do not disturb sign, do walk trough’s toremove dirty dishes and room service trolleys from guest floors , hallways andpantries.
Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries,missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management.
Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards andregulations to management.
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience, Certification & Education
High School Degree
1-2 years of experience in customer service in a similarrole
Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
