Your tasks as a Technical Sales Specialist will include the following :
Maintaining a close business relationship with key industry experts and end user decision makers or influencers.
Obtaining or driving a monthly 90 day rolling forecast, a longer term strategic action or implementation plan, and a large project list for the region.
Promoting flow computer and high accuracy flow business in Middle East & Africa.
Product training to local sales units and end users to ensure strong product knowledge.
Training to local sales units to ensure sales tool competence.
Supporting regional trade shows.
Liaison between the end users, the local sales force, MEA HUB, and PMUs for all product, sales, marketing issues.
Front-end and back-end order support including applications, product configurations, upgrade paths and supply chain issues.
Determining and driving local sales strategy with the MEA HUB sales manager, coordinating additional PMU support with the PMU sales manager, and serving as the primary communication channel for customized customer and system integration projects.
Assisting with coordination and communications with respect to providing after sale services.
The key internal point of contact for all sales of flow computer & high accuracy flow products into the domestic markets within Middle East & Africa region.
Developing and executing account strategies with the local account managers, said account strategies to include customer specific targets with estimated sales value, detailed action plans and action owners.
Presenting factory marketing material to local sales units and end users to promote products and solutions
Travel with local sales managers and sales team to promote the high accuracy flow & flow computer products within the hub, determining specifications as needed, and supporting the local third-party channels.
Sales support at the feed stage and bidding stage of projects
Technical support to the PMUs including order entry clarifications, applications and configuration clarification
Being the escalation point of contact for customer concerns
Communicating opportunities to the local account management and driving project or sales.
Responsible to meet or exceed the specific product sales targets for the region.
Ideally you should have a B.S Degree in a technical discipline with minimum 5-8 years of technical sales experience within Oil & Gas segment.
Must have proven experience with specific accomplishments in technical and sales support, product promotion and training.
Strong knowledge of computer networking preferred. Must have the ability to quickly understand ABB markets, customers and competitors.
Travel about 50% or more of the time. Must be able to work with and influence the regional sales teams. Customer Knowledge within Middle East & Africa region will be preferred
