Role :

Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of thefinancial reporting and general ledger structure. Ensure anaccurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.

Ensurethe timely reporting of all monthly financial information Assistthe Controller in the daily banking requirements. Ensure theaccurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.

Ensurethe monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performedin a timely and accurate manner. Supports budget and forecastingactivities.

Monitors and analyzes department work to develop moreefficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a highlevel of accuracy.

Advises staff regarding the handling ofnon-routine reporting transactions. Responds to inquiries from theDirector of Finance, Controller, and other finance and firm-widemanagers regarding financial results, special reporting requestsand the like.

Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timelyyear-end audit. Supervise the general ledger group to ensure allfinancial reporting deadlines are met.

Assist in development andimplementation of new procedures and features to enhance theworkflow of the department. Provide training to new and existingstaff as needed.

Handle personnel issues relating to staffconflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc. Work with eachdirect report establishing goals and objectives for each year andmonitor and advice on the progress to enhance the professionaldevelopment of staff.

Support Finance Manager with special projectsand workflow process improvements. Specific

Duties and Responsibilities : Reviews investigate andcorrect errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents,and reports.

Maintain a system of accounts and keep records on allcompany transactions and assets. Reviews AccountsReceivables / Payables and weekly payment runs.

Determines properhandling of financial transactions and approves the transactionswithin designated limits. Processing entries, adjustments,transactions for various subsidiaries.

Liaising with the internalauditors to implement control across the subsidiaries. Completingthe accounting process for all subsidiaries

Requirements : FMCGdistribution and retail experience is a must. ERP experience is amust .

  • Experience within afast-paced, high volume environment in FMCG sector
  • Strong IT skills including advanced excel, work withquick books and Magento system
  • Strongreporting and analytic skills
  • Excellentpresentation and communication skills
  • Abilityto work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment withever-changing priorities
