We are currently seeking for young, dynamic, selfmotivated Food & Beverage professionals who assist toorganize and direct a team that develops top quality of food& beverage products, with prompt, accurate and personalizedservice.
As an Assistant Chief Steward youare responsible to assist the Chief Steward to enforce the highestpossible cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food processingfacilities, as well as the operating equipment and your role willinclude key responsibilities such as :
Concentrate on the physical operation of the department and beresponsible for the smooth running of the whole operation
Meet with each stewarding employee to give all necessaryinstructions according to the events of the day
Checkmore specifically the proper use of chemicals and washingaccessories
Meet with the Chef on Duty to see what thespecial kitchen requirements are for the present day and thefollowing one
Meet with the Assistant Food &Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager to check their requirements forthe day and the next day
Take all necessary actions toreduce the loss of silverware / flatware
Ensure thatall food is returned to the kitchen
Schedule preventivemaintenance work and coordinate with Engineering Skills
Education, Qualifications& Experiences
Youshould ideally have a degree in hospitality with previousexperiences in the Stewarding Department within a hotel. Excellentwritten and verbal English communication skills, along with stronginterpersonal and problem solving abilities are essentials.
The idealcandidate will be a friendly, respectful individual with good crosscultures sensitivity and a concern for quality and an eye fordetails.
You demonstrate initiatives at all times and lead andsupport your subordinates by example and with a hands on approach.You will work well under pressure in a fast paced environment andenjoy working with a multi-cultural team, while possessingfollowing additional competencies :
