Job Role : Electrician

Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as powerconstruction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testingequipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or componentsto identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair,and to ensure compliance with codes.
Preparesketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiringor equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safetycodes.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems,apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools tolocate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install,maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, orfixtures.
Advise management on whethercontinued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designatedpartitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulatedwires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits betweenboxes.
Direct or train workers to install,maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, orfixtures.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment,or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment,such as motors.
Assemble, install, test, ormaintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances,apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
Perform business management duties, such asmaintaining records or files, preparing reports, or orderingsupplies or equipment.
Fasten small metal orplastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches oroutlets.
Construct or fabricate parts, usinghand tools, according to specifications.
Perform physically demanding tasks, such as diggingtrenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects.
Provide assistance during emergencies by operatingfloodlights or generators, placing flares, or driving neededvehicles.
Provide preliminary sketches or costestimates for materials or services.
