Job Purpose :
The service engineer will carry out the installation, training, service, and all technical activities in the EMEA region.
This role should work closely with other engineers in the global service team and sales team in order to enhance the device and expert service sales numbers.
Primary Responsibilities :
Perform routine based vibration measurements and analysis jobs. Be in a close relationship with the customer to follow up the status of the machines in the measurement list.
Perform advanced diagnostic measurements to solve chronic vibration problems. Be able to apply run up / coast down test, modal test methods measurement, phase analysis, precision field balancing and shaft alignment techniques to eliminate the root cause of the problem.
Suggest cost-effective correction methods to eliminate vibration problems.
Supervise the online condition monitoring installation activities and work closely with the Reliability Projects Business Development Manager (BDM) to support the projects from technical point of view.
Provide technical support service to the customers who have technical difficulties within their device and / or software.
Plan weekly and monthly schedule with Service Manager to support business.
Attend to device and / or technical trainings to support personal development.
Work with a researcher spirit and implement continuous learning to daily technical activities. Read technical papers and study on technical topics to solve though vibration problems faced on site.
Prepare and manage technical case studies with Service Manager and support marketing activities by publishing them on social media like LinkedIn i.e.
Prepare high-quality, reader-friendly reports and improve existing reporting templates.
Provide technical trainings within Pruftechnik Academy. Work on upcoming training contents and develop training activities.
Support BDM from technical side to work with eMaint software.
Work with other colleagues to provide a coordinated approach for Fluke Reliability.
Use Fortive Business System tools to support sales team members in order them to manage funnel effectively through sales stage to close.
If necessary, create Problem Solving Reports to address variances and create countermeasures.
Share customer feedback with Service, Marketing, R&D / Engineering, Product Management.
Implement health and safety rules to his / her daily work
Graduated from Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering BSc.
MSc. On Machine Dynamics, Vibration or Acoustics (Machine Theory subdivision) is also favorable
Degree educated with minimum 5 years of vibration testing and analysis / engineering experience (especially vibration data acquisition and analysis devices)
Capable of working on complex problems and have a strong problem-solving skill
To be able to work precisely in harsh environments
Be able to work organized and methodical
Be enthusiastic about learning new technical details about vibration analysis and monitoring
Have a proven instructor skill. Be able to teach technical topics
Have a deep knowledge of data acquisition and signal processing
To have at least Vibration CAT-II certificate of ISO 18436
To have a CAT-I certificate of ISO 18436 on one or both the Thermography and Ultrasonic disciplines is favourable
Have an experience on Excel, Matlab and vibration analysis software (preferably Omnitrend / Omnitrend Center of Pruftechnik).
Be able to use calculation software (Excel, Matlab, Octave i.e.) to solve vibration problems.
Be open for an extensive travel
Have an experience and knowledge about vibration transducers
Strong English language skill is needed, Arabic and Turkish language is favorable
To be able to carry loads reaching more than 25-30kgs
Strong executive communication and presence
To be a good team player
