Jobdescription : Key Responsibilities ofPurchasing officer

  • ProcurementPlanning - Prepare purchase orders & maintaindatabase.
  • Coordinate with transportationproviders, vendors to increase the efficiency and resolveproblems.
  • Monitoring & controlling theprocurement budget.
  • Verify theincoming / outgoing supplies & maintaining ofrecords.
  • Coordinating with forwarders forimport / export.
  • Monitoring and updatingshipment status information & guarantee on-timedelivery.
  • Negotiate contracts with serviceproviders to minimize costs.
  • Handlingdocumentation control for purchase, logistics & officerelated documents.
  • Handling office works andadmin related activities.
  • Handling calls andemails from various clients & suppliers.
  • Inventory management.
  • KeyRequirements of Purchasing officer

  • Akeen desire to understanding of lighting; perhaps with a backgroundin Electrical wholesale, but more important is to have energy and adesire for success.
  • Excellent communicationskills both verbal and written.
  • Ability toliaise comfortably and confidently withcustomers / suppliers.
  • Effective at organizingand prioritizing a varied and time pressurized workload.
  • IT literate with excellent working knowledge of Word,Excel and Outlook.
  • Independent andself-motivated, able to work on own initiative.
  • Multi-tasking & should take initiative in problemsolving.
  • Transferable Residency.
  • Excellent Negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge about the shipment documents.
