What You'll Do
The regional Sales Manager is responsible for motivating, developing, and leading a team of Account Managers across the region to support our Cisco business.
You will be accountable for an annual booking / revenue quota with significant growth in subsequent years and for driving overall growth in the regional market for Cisco.
You will have overall sales leadership responsibilities for a targeted set of strategic accounts.
You will work closely with our regional leader to ensure perfect alignment and execution.
You will develop a vision for the region and help your team to position initiatives to transform the way we are engaging business with those customers.
This role is not just a Sales Manager Role but a Business Manager, developing strong strategies on top of strong sales leadership.
Who You'll Work With
You will motivate and inspire, as well as continually develop the teams and channel partners while taking on new competitors as Cisco continues to gain market share outside its leading data networking core.
You need a strong background in executive-level communication with experience building customer and partner relationships, and territory planning and segmentation.
You possess both the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process.
This role involves positioning and promoting the partner value proposition, leading a team both in terms of personal development and expansion of opportunities, and reinforcing existing relationships.
Who You Are
The key performance traits for this role include :
Providing visibility and in-depth knowledge into numbers (customer insights, macro / micro trends, consumption models)
functional teams including the Customer Value Acceleration Team, Services, Capital, Partners, Advanced Technology teams (Collaboration, Enterprise Networks, Data Center), Marketing, and others.
As the regional manager will be expected to strategically drive Cisco's end-to-end vision for our Global customers, as well as maintain an in-
depth understanding of competitive landscape, industry practices, market opportunities, and customer requirements. This key leadership role will continue the development of our sales delivery model through the capability development of our highly talented and motivated sales organization.
Setting a vision and building strategic business decision-making capability to the next level will be a major factor for success in this position.
