TheChief Accountant will be responsible in Leading the AccountsPayable and Banking Team and ensure that the team operates smoothlyand maintain accurate & complete records.
He will beinvolved in financial reporting and monthly closing of records. Heis also expected to continuously improve existing processes andprocedures towards efficiency.
The ChiefAccountant will be required to work in a highly secured andconfidential environment where the need for being well organizedand structured in order to maintain the level of security andconfidentiality is of utmost importance.
Setand Facilitate the achievement of team objectives
Achieve operational excellence
Ensure accurate and timely recording ofvendors’ invoices, petty cash expenses, and credit cardtransactions
Ensure monthly reconciliation ofvendor statements and credit card statements withrecords
Ensure timely payments tovendors
Prepare Accounts Payable Aging Report,Team Output Report, and other related reports andanalyses
Prepare Cash PositionReport
Maintain bank facilities
Process bank applications and letter requests
Perform monthly closing of books related to AccountsPayable and Banking (i.e., Expense accrual, clearing of advancepayments to vendors, bank reconciliations, vendor and related partyaccounts’ reconciliation, accounts payable and cashrevaluation, etc.)
Prepare monthly AccountsPayable and Banking Schedules
Continuouslyimprove existing processes, procedures, and internalcontrols.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Financialoperations, Accounting and Auditing. With experience in AccountsPayable and Banking processes and procedures.
Candidates with UAEexperience and audit experience from Big 4 arepreferred.
Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance or related field
CA, CPA,ACCA or equivalent qualification
Excellent Reporting Skills
Experience working in ERP environments
Knowledge in UAE VAT Laws
Extensiveknowledge about accounting and management principles
