Job Purpose

A manager with responsibility and accountability to develop, deploy and accelerate the growth strategy for Gum & Mints, and Fruity Confections in AMEA region.

The effectiveness of this role will be built on strong global, regional & local stakeholder management, and deploying the global (and regional) strategy to drive scale across the region.

  • This associate will;
  • Accelerate the growth of Gum & Mints, and Fruity Confections through The deployment of global and regional innovation and growth initiatives, ensuring scale and efficiency across markets in AMEA.
  • Lead and guide the marketing community with a harmonised approach in implementing the growth activities from the global activity tool kits Codifying & the deployment of growth best practices

  • Represent the regional activities of Gum & Mints, and Fruity Confections in the regional PMR
  • Key Responsibilities

    Deployment of global big initiatives

  • Shape & embed the new WoW in the context of the new MWC Operating Model with global CBU
  • Facilitate and provide inputs into the creation of the regional Gum & Mints, and Fruity Confections 3-5Y growth plan by leveraging the global and lead market agenda.
  • Deploy the global big initiatives and drive scale and speed-to-market in AMEA via close collaboration with cross function ATG
  • Adapt the global toolkits with AMEA relevancy to help AMEA markets achieve category conversion & excellence in execution of the global big initiatives of Gum & Mints, and Fruity Confections
  • Share the regional consolidated feedback with Global Brand Boards about the global initiatives
  • Lead development of regional initiatives (with partnership of identified lead market)

  • Identify and align on regional initiatives (not included in global program)
  • Develop brand activations & innovation initiatives that support our consumer and customer growth agenda from ideation to tool kit development
  • Engage CBU & SDL Communities

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings across the region to engage the region and market clusters behind the growth initiatives.
  • Engage and deploy growth best practices, track and share deployment progress
  • Share the learning to global and local CBU teams
  • Create & deploy cross brand activations to accelerate segment growth
  • Context and Scope

  • Work directly with the Gum & Mints CBU, and Fruity Confections CBU and the global brand teams to drive scale across the region
  • Share Learnings back to the global teams on Best Practice examples across the region
  • Build and leverage stakeholder networks with the market cluster Gum & Mints, and Fruity Confections CBUs
  • Provide thought leadership with the AMEA LT on Gum & Mints, and Fruity Confections
  • Collaborate with cross function ATG in innovation development and deployment
  • Relevant Quantitative and Budget Information

    Job Specifications / Qualifications

    1. Education & Professional Qualification

  • Degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Trade Marketing or equivalent work experience
  • 2. Knowledge / Experience

  • Broad understanding of a company’s business and process areas (CBU WoW, QuEST PPM, S&OP) and the ways in which technology may impact and enhance business processes
  • 5+ years of broad based business experience with at least 2 in Marketing / Sales and transactional roles
  • Experience in developing and improving processes
  • Innovative spirit which enjoys driving outcomes that may not always have a clear roadmap
  • Able to facilitate and lead diverse groups to a successful outcome
  • Strong customer orientation and superb collaboration skills across major regions and multiple countries.
  • Should have a proven track record of delivering results in complex global environments
  • Able to evaluate technology and process alternatives
  • Ability to convince, influence and motivate at all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives
  • Demonstrated skills in organisational agility and an ability in navigating complex challenges
