Standard duties :

  • Support in the development and implementations ofdepartment strategy according to the company strategy, responsiblein setting section’s operational goals, initiate measuresand have accountability in reaching these goals to improve theoverall unit’s performance
  • Supportthe performance management process that measures and evaluatesprogress against departmental goals
  • Responsible for a result-oriented management anddevelopment of people and resources, including provision of astrong day-to-day leadership presence involving resourceallocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staffmeetings
  • Manage the section’sexpenditure and requirements, keeping in mind its impact andutilization on the financial budget
  • Fosterorganizational culture by establishing quality awareness andservice orientation and complying and implementing processes suchas Project Management and Change Management
  • Develop, implement and ensure adherence of policies andprocedures
  • Promote and support the recruitmentand development of UAE Nationals to significantly contribute toDaman’s strategic goal
  • Department Specific :

  • Provide guidance to senior management in regard toregulations, policies, applicable laws and complianceissues
  • Responsible fordesigning and implementation of IT processes, policies and controlsto assure compliance with applicable regulatory and legalrequirements as well as industry leading practices
  • Responsible for Document Approvaland Stamps Control services provided to Daman employees
  • Support the corporate riskanalysis and self-assessments programs for various IT units,systems and processes
  • Help ensure compliance with local and internationalregulations and standards
  • Establish and oversee a formal vulnerability and testingprogram
  • Liaise withInternal Audit, Corporate Compliance, and Risk Management toremediate new and outstanding issues;
  • Coordinate with the respective corporate teamson implementing Information Security, Business Continuity and DataPrivacy initiatives within ITS
  • Oversee and maintain the ITS’ securitypolicies, standards, guidelines and baselines, in coordination withIT Security and Corporate Information Security
  • Promote and monitor ITS’Security awareness
  • Promote and monitor the System Electronic RecordsRetention program.
  • Train other staff and external clients asnecessary
  • Ensure that the variousIT-GRC functions are executed as per agreed servicelevels


  • Advancedknowledge of risk assessment design and delivery
  • Knowledgeable of governance, riskand compliance systems and how to design a GRC framework
  • Dynamic,self-driven with strong business understanding andbackground
  • Strategicthinking with strong focus on results and high quality of work andable to think out of the box
  • Very good leadership skillsincluding people management, selection and developmentskills
  • Very goodcommand of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic languageis an added advantage
  • Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, executionand problem-solving skills
  • Continuously acquire and refresh functional knowledge,skills and competencies
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Respect and promote trust andconfidentiality
  • Stronglevel of customer service orientation and professionalism in allinteractions
  • Very goodcommunication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Broad knowledge of healthinsurance concepts
  • Goodknowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Experienced in managing a multi-cultural environment andpromote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goalsand deliverables


    Bachelor's degree in Information Systems,Information Technology (IT), Computer Science orEnginee
