Carries out various workshop tooland wellhead service maintenance duties in support of drillingoperations. Includes maintaining and updating stock records for awide variety of drilling tools, equipment, spare parts andconsumable items used for drilling operations and wellheadmaintenance.
Carries out pressure testing on wellhead christmastrees, performs routine maintenance on a variety of equipment andtools.
Participates in the movement of tools, equipment andconsumable materials in the workshop area and between workshop andrig locations.
Refurbish parts and tubular material as directed bySupervisor.
Identifies and assists inmaintaining detailed stock records of a wide variety of drillingtools and equipment, including core heads, fishing tools, cementingequipment, liner hanger equipment, Tri-cone and PDC bits.
Also records usage time and work activities for certain tools, suchas test plugs and wear bushings. Ensures that all toolsand equipment are cleaned, greased and properly stored as requiredand that stock records are kept up-to-date as items are returned orremoved from stores.
Assists inmaintaining stock records of a wide variety of spare parts andconsumable items used for wellhead maintenance and drillingactivities.
Also controls and records wellhead componentsactuators, back-off adapter flanges etc. Ensurescomponents are cleaned, greased and properly stored and availablefor future use.
Maintains hydraulicpumps used for testing trees and valves. This includes oiling,greasing and replacing defective parts as required and reportingserious defects to supervisor for major repairs.
Cleans, repairs and paints stock-worthy itemsprior to re-allocation to stock. Writes out the MESCnumbers on each item going back into stock for ease ofidentification by Materials Ward-keepers.
