winning Talise Spa, and the superlative Talise Fitness health club. About the Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Reservations Coordinator to lead operations in Food & Beverage Service within the Mina A’ Salam, Madinat Jumeirah Resort.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the planning, coordination, administration as well as communication and information functions and duties of the department are carried in a professional, discreet, exact and prompt manner in accordance with documented SOPs and Jumeirah policies.

Your main duties will include the following :

  • To ensure all activities are adhered to support the Jumeirah International Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for all administrative work related to Group Reservations and Private events in the F&B department.
  • Creates new sales opportunities for F&B outlets.
  • To be a hotel representative for pre-events meetings, daily event management and post event evaluations.
  • To lead resort site visits, prepare customized event proposals and contracts, creating events orders, designing custom menus and generating sales revenue reports.
  • To plan, organize and manage details for restaurant events, including corporate meetings, family reunions and VIP social functions.
  • To manage multiple projects for resort wide guests functions while continuously tracking our success with Jumeirah Sales and Marketing Teams.
  • To collaborate with multiple operations teams like Security, Reservations, Sales and Marketing, Executive Committee, Front Office, Engineering and Culinary Department.
  • To generate future sales revenue by rebooking corporate and social groups.
  • Contracts live entertainers as required, inclusive of booking of flights, arranging entertainers’ permits, accommodation and any other related activities.
  • Processes documents accurately, in accordance with Jumeirah International procedures and within designated timelines.
  • Identify, rectify or report office equipment malfunctions promptly, and in accordance with Jumeirah International procedures.
  • Selects appropriate format and style for correspondence according to purpose, audience and situation.
  • Drafts documents according to document control standards and formats.
  • Maintains document systems and file / stores documents in accordance with Jumeirah International procedures.
  • Modifies and updates reference and index systems as required.
  • Maintains up-to-date hard copy files of all Madinat Jumeirah Standard Operating Procedures, Department Performance Plans and Jumeirah International Quality Management System procedures.
  • Qualifications

    About You In order to be considered for this role you will have gained a diploma or equivalent in Hotel Management from an internationally recognized institution.

    A minimum of 2 years experience working in five star environment with an administration role is essential. You will already have demonstrated your ability to deliver great commercial results and to manage and inspire a great team.

    You will also possess experience of working with diverse cultures and have very good written and verbal English language skills.
