To manage, develop and mentor Trainee Engineers and Junior Technicians in all aspects of their practical development. To facilitate comprehensive practical technical training strategies to ensure all training competencies are completed in a timely and effective manner.
This will include developing an OJT program for the Trainees, Practical training courses for new equipment / technologies, refresher Training on A / C systems / servicing for all Line Maintenance based staff etc.
To develop courses and course material as required to meet Etihad’s corporate vision.
A valid GCAA license and or EASA Part 66 / ICAOII and / or an appropriate Engineering degree
Recognized Apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline :
Minimum 10 years experience in Line / Base Maintenance.
5 years experience in a training role.
Formal technical training in at least 1 Etihad aircraft types
Certified trainer or recognized training qualification
Well developed communication and strong interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge of engineering standards appropriate for an International airline
In depth knowledge of Aviation regulations (e.g. UAE GCAA or EASA)
Excellent command of English language
Computer literate (Microsoft Office applications)
Excellent presentation skills
Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
