Manages allengineering / maintenance operations, including maintaining thebuilding, grounds and physical plant with particular attentiontowards safety, security and asset protection.

Accountable formanaging the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventativemaintenance and energy conservation. Responsible for maintainingregulatory requirements.

Assists in leading the emergency responseteam for all facility issues.


Education andExperience

  • Highschool diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the engineering andmaintenance or related professional area; technical training inHVAC-R / electrical / plumbing.
  • 2-year degree from anaccredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering,Mechanics, or related major; 1 year experience in the engineeringand maintenance or related professional area;
  • technical training inHVAC-R / electrical / plumbing.


    ManagingEngineering Operations and Budgets

  • Manages the physical plant includingequipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment andelectrical systems.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations andsafety standards.
  • Manages and controls heat, light and power and recommendscurrent best methods for energy conservation and economicalfacility operations.
  • Develops specifications and requirements for servicecontracts and administers such contracts to support buildingneeds.
  • Distributespreventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitorstimeliness and quality of completion.
  • Oversees and directs the maintenance ofgrounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehiclesand recreational facilities.
  • Develops a long term plan for preventative maintenanceand asset protection and overseeing execution of plan.
  • Develops project plans inaccordance with renovation or new construction needs.
  • Contacts contractors for bids andsupervising construction to ensure timely completion of projectswithin budgetary guidelines.
  • Builds positive relationships with external customerssuch as city building / zoning department, fire prevention bureau andvendors.
  • Ensures firecrew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment andalarms.
  • Performsmonthly property inspection to ensure buildings and grounds aremaintained in excellent condition.
  • Conducts guest room and common area inspectionto ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Inspects and evaluates the physical condition offacilities in order to determine the type of workrequired.
  • Recommends orarranges for additional services such as painting, repair work,renovations, and the replacement of furnishings andequipment.
  • Selects andorders or purchasing new equipment, supplies, andfurnishings.
  • Managesparts and equipment inventory.
  • Maintaining PropertyStandards

  • Ensuresbuilding and equipment licenses and certifications arecurrent.
  • Maintainsproperty life safety systems (fire fighting equipment, sprinklersystems and alarm systems).
  • Ensuring Exceptional CustomerService

  • Displaysleadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying excellent customerservice and creating a positive atmosphere for guestrelations.
  • Reviewscomment cards, guest satisfaction results and other data toidentify areas of improvement.
  • Shares plans with property leadership and ensuringcorrective action is taken to continuously improve guestsatisfaction.
