Job Role : Supplier QualityManager
The Supplier Quality Managerrole provides leadership for the global sourcing quality functionsto ensure product quality at the suppliers.
The roleprovides leadership for quality and technical activities related toensuring suppliers deliver products on time, on cost and withcorrect quality according to our customer’s andCompany’s requirements.
The SupplierQuality Leader role is responsible for collaborating with Sourcingto guide our overall Supplier Management efforts, implementing thequality management system at the global supplier sites, drivingdefect data collection, and implementing corrective / preventiveactions intended to avoid repetition of these costs.
Essential Duties& Responsibilities
Implement standard procedures for global quality suppliermanagement to drive risk reduction for the Company while strivingfor efficiency and simplicity.
Provide crossfunctional training for supplier management procedures andprocesses and monitor adherence.
Establishesgoals / objectives and performance metrics for the Sourcing Qualityfunctions for the Company.
Ensuresproducts are supplied in compliance with customer and regulatoryrequirements.
Collaboratewith ITO and Application Engineering to ensure appropriate SupplierQuality costs are included in key bid proposals.
Review project quality documentation requirements andidentify customer requirements that are required to be transitionedto the supplier.
Leads Supplier Qualificationprogram including supplier due diligence, audits andscorecards.
Regularly reports operational andfinancial status, quality system health, and process improvementimpact to Director Corporate Quality and businessstakeholders.
Drives continuous improvement atsupplier locations. Provides leadership to SupplierQuality Engineers to drive cost out through outsourcing and processimprovement initiatives.
Develops team toimprove quality techniques and competencies and improve flexibilityin assignment while ensuring quality standards.
Provides coaching to Supplier Quality on performing theirduties and growing their capabilities and adherence to theCompany’s Code of Conduct.
Developspositive relationships and collaborates closely with Engineering,Sourcing and Suppliers to implement an effective program andaddress issues.
Bachelor’s Degree inEngineering
Required Experience &Skills
8+ years ofexperience in an industrial environment.
8+ years knowledge of ISO 9001, API, ASME standards forvessels and piping standards.
5+ years ofSupplier Quality experience.
Demonstratedglobal leadership experience in a Quality organization.
Experience in Quality Systems management.
Experience leading in global environments.
Working knowledge of recognized standards and codes suchas ASME Section VIII, NACE, AWS, etc.
Abilityto read, write, speak and understand English.
Computer experience in Microsoft Office applications(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability tointerpret engineering drawings, technical notes, standards andspecifications.
Able to work in a fast-pacedenvironment with the ability to evoke critical thinking.
Ability to communicate to Technical and Leadershipaudiences.
Demonstrated abilities related toproblem-solving, decision-making, judgement, leadership, andteam-oriented skills in order to manage multipleprojects.
Demonstrated collaboration,negotiation and conflict resolution skills withsuppliers.
Ability to coordinate withcustomers as well as third party auditors.
Analytical understanding of defect data and ability todetermine and address root causes.
Strongknowledge in the use of Microsoft suite of office softwareapplications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Ability to travel locally within Middle East andinternationally up to 20% of time.
Preferred Experience &Skills
Experience in operations and leading in a matrixedorganization
Strong knowledge of ASMEstandards.
Experience in usingOracle.
Fluency in Arabic, Spanish, Thai orIndonesian in reading, writing, and oral communication.
Preferred Training& Certifications
LSS (Lean Six Sigma)green belt.
