Summary ofResponsibilities :
Assists in maintaining Microsoft Windows applications andsystems including but not limited to : Windows 7, Windows XP;Windows Server / 8;
and Microsoft Exchange.
Assists the network & communication administratorwith Maintaining routers; adding / terminating users; assigningrights and access;
resetting passwords; establishing emailaddresses; assessing and reporting operational status; performingbackups and restores;
including performing routine preventativemaintenance.
Assist colleagues inunderstanding and using the technology available within thehotel.
Establishes, documents, tests andcommunicates short-term and long-term emergencyprocedures.
Ensures compliance with allsoftware licensing agreements and safeguards software media andassociated licenses.
Working with the Directorof IT and ensures that all company IT related Standard OperatingProcedures are implemented, monitored and updatedaccordingly.
Presents and implementstechnological alternatives to streamline functions and improveproductivity.
Maintains and tests thetechnology disaster recovery plan along with the ITteam.
Responsible for troubleshootingworkstations, networks, software applications, phones, copiers andother technologies.
Responsible for maintainupdated inventory of all hardware & software in theproperty on a timely basis.
Keeps updated withthe latest industry trends and new product in themarket.
Continually strives to improve self;knowledge & skills.
To maintain HSIAincluding Wi-Fi where appropriate, as per brand requirements inorder to generate revenue to the hotel.
Actively participates in all hotel energy saving andrecycling initiatives. Attends monthly departmental meetings anddaily briefings as required.
Ensures that theappropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform andappearance are maintained at all times.
Strictly adheres to the IT Policy on Confidentiality andEthics.
Equipment installation andconfiguration, monitoring and troubleshooting of network, hardwareand software
Ensures optimal availability ofthe computer systems and network installed.
Investigates all network and hardware malfunctions;notifies and coordinates maintenance service with contractors;assists in problem determination by observing and noting problems,keeping and researching logs, and identifying patterns of problems;
ensures that all equipment is in proper workingcondition.
Establishes and maintains useraccounts, user environments, directories and system security andsecurity for networks.
Installs, upgrades, andconfigures network printing, directory structures, user access,security, software and file services.
Performsperiodic maintenance of LAN servers and associated LANhardware.
Administers and performs and / oroversees software and application installation, andupgrades.
Ensures timely user notification ofmaintenance requirements and impact on systemavailability.
Maintains confidentiality withregard to the users and company information being processed, storedor accessed by the network.
Ensures that allsafety, health, security and loss control policies and proceduresand government legislation are adhered to.
Fills in as needed in operations to cover absences,vacations and staff shortage.
To carry out anyadditional tasks and projects as requested by the Director ofIT.
Previous IT Experience is an asset
