Overview of Role

The role holder will be responsible for advising on and managing key HR processes and supporting the HR Business Partner in the successful delivery of HR activities at all stages of the employee lifecycle within the Dubai and India offices.

Working together with a HR Business Partners who is based in London, the role holder will provide operational support on day to day people matters, reporting to the HR Business Partner.

The role holder will also be expected to work with the wider HR team to help drive forward the global people agenda through participating in HR projects and programs.

Employee Relations

Support the HR Business Partner to resolve employee relations issues and keep accurate records of events, including note taking where required.

Support with conducting investigations for disciplinary and grievance processes.

Assist with the drafting of all correspondence relating to formal processes in your region.

Liaise with lawyers for advice and guidance.


Work with CloudPay for payroll administration.

Ensure all new starter, leaver, amendment instructions and relevant communications to external departments are executed in a timely manner and provided to CloudPay for processing.

Maintain personnel files for all employees.

Resourcing (Recruitment / Exits / Secondments)

As part of budgetting, discuss and agree headcount requirements and liaise with London HR & Group Finance

Assist with lateral recruitment for bankers (in collaboration with Lateral Recruitment team in London) and manage support staff recruitment process.

Source support candidates from agencies and arrange interview schedules.

Oversee the Graduate and Internship hiring process and programme management with oversight from Graduate Recruitment team in London.

Establish relationships with local universities to build the pool of Graduates and Interns with oversight from Graduate Recruitment team in London.

Generate offers for review and handle related administrative tasks such as pre-employment screening and medical, office and IT set-up, new joiner forms and Workday input.

Work with various stakeholders, including the Global Mobility Team in London on internal transfers / secondments arrange interim accommodation, work with external vendor to manage the visa applications, work pass application and renewal.

Exit process exit administration and Workday input, conduct exit interviews for bankers up to Associate level and feedback to the Business and the HR Business Partner, cancellation of work passes and collection of IT equipment.

Expatriate Administration

Manage the Housing Tenancy for all expatriate employees.

Review / revise the Tenancy Agreement and work with Compliance Dept, as appropriate.

Track the housing deposit and recovery from employee.

Ensure proper rental deduction from employee’s payroll.

Negotiate on renewal and terminate tenancies.

Check and approve payments for rental, utilities, education, home leave and other expatriate related payments.

Learning & Development

Working with the London HR Business Partner to support the annual and interim performance management process.

Prepare all materials for benchmarking meetings for bankers and support staff.

Liaise with L&D team in London on different training offerings for the region including Graduate Training, Promotion programmes, Shine etc.

Compensation & Benefits

Work with London HR Business Partner to deliver the annual Compensation Review Process (salary, bonus and promotion) including completing compensation spreadsheets / database.

Assist with departmental calibration meetings, including collation and reporting of performance ratings and collation of relevant materials and note taking.

Prepare all reports, letters and other documentation to support the annual compensation exercise.

Manage and negotiate with insurance and benefit scheme vendors.


Input and maintain employee data within Workday.


Responsible for attending to Internal and External auditors’ queries on all matters relating to HR and Admin.

Preparation of visa application letters where required.

Other adhoc administrative tasks as maybe required from time to time.

Prepare HR reports as and when required.

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

Educated to A-Level or equivalent

A minimum of three years’ experience in a HR Analyst position, preferably within Financial Services.

Hands-on approach, strong generalist experience.

Excellent attention to details and accuracy are essential.

Strong organisational skills.

Excellent IT skills.

Strong written communication skills.

Excellent inter-personal skills to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels (both internally and externally).

Self-motivated, proactive and delivery focused.

Must be able to work independently.

Ability to manage several simultaneous activities and prioritise workload.
