  • You will :

  • Develop IT systems covering various aspects of the business run by our Fixed Income division
  • Have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with our business users and to learn business concepts like how certain financial products and financial markets work
  • Participate in every stage of the lifecycle of an IT system ranging from gathering requirements and refining user stories, designing solutions and writing code to helping our support organization answer the most interesting user questions
  • Work on a diverse technology landscape
  • Our team has a wide coverage on technical and business problems to solve ranging from developing data integration and feeding solutions having extreme throughput and resiliency to highly scalable scenario calculations.
  • The choice will primarily depend on skillset, personal interest and team fit.

    You have :

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Prior Experience in an Object Oriented Programming language such as Java or C#
  • Interest in Functional Programming, desire to learn Scala
  • Willingness to understand and enhance other people’s code, being able to work in an environment where developers will oversee and work on wider components also dealing with older legacy code
  • You might also have :

  • Prior experience in working with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, working with PR-s, using JIRA, following the Scrum Agile methodology is an advantage
  • Prior knowledge of financial products is also an advantage
  • BSc or MSc in any relevant field of IT / Engineering area
  • 1-3 years of prior working experience
  • Team Profile :

    This is a unique opportunity to work on the firm’s next generation risk calculation system : RICE (Risk Calculation Environment).

    RICE is a strategic project, consolidating the firm’s valuation, risk and profit & loss systems for all OTC cash and derivative positions.

    It is an overarching platform with pricing engines running on top of more than 5K virtual machines deployed through several computing grids that can shrink and expand depending on demand, running billions of computations every day.

    You’ll be working on one of the largest Scala codebases in the world with a lot of opportunities to make significant contributions and impact to the firm’s business.

    Rice is built as a cooperation of dozens of teams working all over the globe. The Valuation Control Macro team’s main focus is in terms of products, Interest Rate and FX, developing data integration and feeding solutions, ensuring that calculation results initiated by the Front Office reaches our downstream clients meeting all their requirements.

    Our team is client facing, so depending on the assignment members are expected to have interactions with the strategists of the trading desk as well as financial controllers.

    As pricing sits at the very core of the business, there will be interactions with a wide range of other technology teams as well, for example RICE Core / FX / Credit, Optimus, Enterprise Applications Infrastructure, FID Modeling.
