Complete fitness inductions and follow ups on all members. Do aerobics, PT classes as per schedule. Promote and sell fitness membership, class exercise, spa services including retail offerings related to the Spa and recreation.

Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety and security throughout service. Clean, check and maintain fitness areas, studio and all exercise areas at all time.

Frequency checks fitness equipment at the end of each shift. Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures.

Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Speak with others using clear and professional language.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors, Spa Assistant Manager and Spa Manager.

SCOPE / BUSINESS CONTEXT + A Full Time position based at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.+ Number of Direct Reports - N / A+ Titles of Direct Reports - N / A CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience : + Minimum 2years of experience as a lifeguard Skills and Knowledge + Good oral and written communication skills in English+ Able to get on well with people from many different backgrounds+ Able to work under pressure at times and can do attitude.

  • Ability to be versatile+ Able to do shift work+ Well presented+ Clear speech+ Good general and physical health+ Ability to carry weights+ Energetic+ Self-motivated - able to work on their own+ Good eye sight Education or Certification + Min.
  • 21 years of age+ Qualified with personal training and first aid certificate+ Qualified aerobics instructor in at least 2 class formats (Spinning, step, body pump, etc)+ To have worked in commercial or hotel club before+ Group Training Skills+ College Qualifications SPECIFIC DUTIES The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position : Balanced Scorecard Results : Implements strategies and executes activities to drive and continuously improve financial results, guest satisfaction, human capital index and market share.

    Essential Functions + To ensure that you are always courteous and friendly to guests, attentive to their needs, handle problems in a professional manner and are conscious of the importance of safety.

  • To be responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all areas within the gymnasium , mirrors and equipment as laid down by the Recreation Manager / Supervisor according to "Gymnasium Daily Operating Procedures".
  • To welcome prospective members in a professional and courteous manner, providing them with a full explanation of the gym's facilities, equipment, services and to promote and sell memberships.
  • To provide Hotel guests and members with a personal fitness orientation (medical questionnaire, fitness assessment, program development) before they commence an exercise program.
  • To design personal exercise programs for all users of the gymnasium according to factors evaluated during the personal fitness evaluation , age, level of fitness etc.
  • To provide Hotel guests and Club members with a personal exercise program presentation and to provide full instruction on the correct techniques to be used on all pieces of equipment in the gymnasium paying particular attention to safety.
  • To provide first aid treatment in the event of any accident or injury to a guest or Club member.+ To motivate and encourage Hotel guests and members to achieve a higher level of health and fitness whilst promoting exercise as a fun activity.
  • To liaise with the Recreation Manager / Supervisor in setting up and running a time table of aerobics classes, circuit training etc.
  • and to help organize special events such as triathlons, fitness challenges etc.+ To file all personal fitness evaluation cards and personal exercise program.

  • To keep daily record books and log all information such as accident reports, complaints, maintenance requirements and statistics + To be responsible to work as a Receptionist according to the weekly shift Rota or depending upon demand as laid down by the Recreation Manager / supervisor and to fulfill duties as per the "Reception Daily Operating Procedures".
  • To promote & sell nutritional products and maximizing revenue.+ To ensure that all rules & Regulations of the club is adhered to by guests & members.
  • Ensure fitness area and equipment is clean well maintained and all water coolers are filled at all times.+ Coordinate with Al kamda & Engineering in maintaining all equipment is in working order.
  • To be responsible in the event of staff sickness, emergency etc. to carry out cleaning duties in any part of the Health Club or swimming pool area as requested by the Recreation Manager.
  • To attend all recreation staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled by the Recreation Manager / supervisor. Safety and Security + Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager / supervisor.
  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Notify Loss Prevention / Security of any guest reports of theft. Policies and Procedures + Follow company, hotel and department policies and procedures.
  • Follows Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures+ Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.+ Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.+ Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors and Management.
  • Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than 48 hours per week. Guest Relations + Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific process (, LEARN, JW Symphony of Service) to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.
  • Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.+ Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching / listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
  • Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.+ Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions / offerings.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.+ Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
  • Supply guests / residents with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
  • Communication + Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in one's voice, using the callers' name, transferring calls to appropriate person / department, requesting permission before placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowing the caller to end the call.

  • Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.+ Talk with and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information.
  • Working with Others + Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.+ Handle sensitive issues with employees and / or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
