As aSous Chef you are responsible for the smooth operation of ourRangoli Restaurant- a dining venue serving North and South Indiancuisine, with emphasis on quality, presentation within theguidelines of the standardized menus and employee training, wherebyyour role will include key responsibilities such as :
Supervise the Rangoli kitchen in the preparation andpresentation of all food items in accordance with thehotel's SOPs and standardized menu guidelines
Monitor regular standards of production to ensure highest level ofquality
Monitor all aspects pertaining to the controlof the hotel's food cost
Participate in thedrafting of concept ideas and menus for all special events andfunctions while encouraging all employees to put forward theirideas and utilizing them wherever practical
EnsureHACCP standards are implemented and follow the appropriate hygienestandards as per Municipality requirements at all times
Ensure consistent on the job training session for culinarycolleagues and promote health & safety Skills
Education, Qualifications& Experiences
Youshould have a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs trainingcourse and at least three years experiences in qualityestablishments along with excellent culinary skills.
The ability tocommunicate well in English and a proven track of food preparation,presentation and preservation knowledge is an essential.
The idealcandidate will be positively spirited and passionate about food andbe committed to work together with the service team to deliver anamazing guest experiences every time.
