The ideal candidate for the position of Accountant will prepare financial reports, perform research and analysis, maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, assist with audit preparations, and carry out other accounting duties as may be required.
Key responsibilities :
Daily duties may include the following activities :
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.

Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
Provide input into department’s goal setting process.
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
Plan, assign and review staff’s work.
Support month-end and year-end closing process.
Ensure compliance with company policies.
Liaise with our Financial Manager to improve financial procedures
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
ACCA / ACMA / CIMA / CPA preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience.
Working knowledge of tax laws.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and stress management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
Ability to train and manage staff.
Ability to work with little to no supervision.
