  • Conduct legal research as required by the Team's senior lawyers, including searching for precedents and relevant statutes, legal articles and other writings
  • Perform preliminary work in the preparation of legal opinion / advice and to research relevant statutes, rulings and precedents to be used as a basis for answering requests for legal opinion / advice related to the Company's projects
  • Shadow senior Team members on key meetings, negotiations, reviewing of documents, etc. in order to build capability and competence in required areas
  • Ensure an up-to-date database of all relevant statutes and regulations to provide a convenient source of reference to the Team
  • Assist with the setting-up of companies within and outside the UAE in order to ensure all the necessary documentation is prepared, collated and available when required
  • Lead in the drafting of confidentiality / non-disclosure agreements, technical services agreements, powers of attorneys (POAs), company incorporation documents, internal consents and other approval documents, etc.
  • in order to ensure that adequate support is provided to the Team and resources are utilised effectively

  • Assist with bid preparation activities from a legal perspective, in collaboration with the Bid Management team, in order to ensure all the legal elements are taken care of, and that the documentation is accurate
  • Collate and draft the conditions precedent to the closing of transactions in order to ensure that the required documents are available
  • Take dictation and transcribe materials from shorthand or written manuscripts into typed drafts and proofreads letters, reports and tabulations for the senior lawyer’s review and comments
  • Draft simple agreements / contracts relevant to specific legal transactions and provide it to the team to populate other details in order to ensure provision of required support.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholder, such as the Business Development Team, the Assets Team, etc. as required, and follow-
  • up matters with them in order to gather the necessary information

  • Handle all day-to-day work relating to government and other external relations with respect to the filing-up of application forms, attestations, etc.
  • to ensure smooth and efficient interface with external parties

  • Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner
  • Contribute in the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes, and projects in line with the Company’s standards
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • A recognised paralegal or other legal training
  • A Bachelor of Laws degree is preferred
  • Minimum Experience :

  • 0 3 years’ experience as a paralegal
  • Skills :

  • Highly organized
  • Basic understanding of legal terms and definitions
  • Understanding of contracts and other legal documents
  • Good research skills
  • Ability to handle pressure well, and understand the importance of deadlines
  • Ability to relate to people in a variety of situations, be highly trustworthy, discreet, and consistently use good judgment
