To ensure that operating and kitchen equipment is maintained to a good standard with minimum breakage.
To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the company's policy relating to fire, hygiene and safety.
Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
Ensures the punctuality and appearance of all stewarding employees, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department's grooming standards.
To conduct together with the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage every six months
Performance Development Appraisals with employees and to support them in their professional development goals
To plan and implement effective training programmes for employees in coordination with the Training Manager and Departmental Trainers.
Basic knowledge of Kitchen Hygiene
1-2 years work experience as Steward in a hotel or restaurant with good standards desirable
Ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment
Must be able to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings and weekends
Permanent residency or unlimited working rights in Australia.
