Job Purpose To define implement a strategic framework for the taxation function such that the Emirates Group is able to effectively manage related risks Lead and be ultimately responsible and accountable for oversight and management of all direct tax matters Indirect Taxes Excluding Ticketing and Employment taxes Act as the Groups main advisor on all tax related matters and engage with industry and government bodies external advisors on structuring new subsidiaries acquisitions contracts and agreements and ensuring tax compliance JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 1 Responsible for the identification oversight and management of material tax risks Ensure appropriate policies and procedures controls and responsibilities are in place Ensure appropriate testing and assurance of tax processes and outcomes are in place 2 Act as primary advisor to stakeholders providing day-

to-day tax advisory to the business while overseeing the implementation and management of the framework of such matters across international tax transfer pricing corporate taxes VAT and other consumption taxes customs withholding and other indirect taxes and airline specific duties in taxes 3 Oversee and provide advice on mergers and acquisition transactions including overseeing the tax due diligence across the group globally while pro-

actively partnering with the business and other corporate functions to ensure appropriate taxation considerations are undertaken 4 Analyze transfer pricing aspects of business initiatives expansion and transactions Research and implement where appropriate transfer pricing mechanisms within relevant Group companies giving advice and guidance to local offices Set up systems and execute documentation to effect this process 5 Prepare timely forecasts of the Companys tax environment including foreign taxes on foreign income Coordinate with Group Finance Management Accounts to ensure tax-

efficient cash management including investment re-deployment and repatriation of cash between the Company and its foreign affiliates 6 Ensure the tax obligations are being met on global basis and oversee the tax reporting process Continuously evolve the use of people outsourced relationships systems and process for the optimisation of compliance processes and knowledge management 7 Review contracts and collaborate with business leaders and legal to ensure contracts contain key terms that are consistent with global tax structure and to minimize potential tax risks to the company Assist internal teams in handling all tax issues related to incorporation of legal entities corporate governance matters and contracts 8 Keep abreast of tax matters to ensure awareness of changes in the global taxation landscape Oversee training on tax matters across the business providing assistance where necessary 9 Develop and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders such as finance leadership team cross functional teams and external agencies such as Tax Advisors Internal External and Government Auditors so that Corporate Treasury can achieve its stated objectives in a timely and efficient manner 10 Review and manage team performance through coaching supporting staff development and progression Mentor high performers and develop succession plans to develop a world class tax function Actively support the National development programme for Treasury staff
