Job Description

  • Main Purpose :
  • The main purpose of this role is to ensure the effective and efficient management of the general ledger, Groupe reporting, VAT return, internal control compliance, and external audit requirements related to the media agencies in UAE under the scope of Re : Sources UAE.

    The Key Accountabilities are, but not limited to :

  • Directly manage the monthly financial close and financial reporting of Publicis Media agencies in UAE
  • Full ownership of the general ledger management for the media agencies in UAE
  • Responsible for coordinating across multiple departments, to ensure tight month end deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate and complete
  • Oversee the general ledger and general journal posting to ensure compliance with the groupe policies and best practices
  • Full control and management of the media agencies balance sheet review on a monthly basis and meeting the financial monitoring controls set by the Publicis Groupe
  • Full responsibility of the VAT return preparations for the media agencies
  • Liaising with the external auditors for the annual audit
  • Business Compliance :

    Ensure a sound understanding of, and demonstrate commitment to and comply with all statutory legislation and Publicis Groupe Policies (Janus) relevant to your role and all activities undertaken in that role.

    Personal & Team Accountabilities :

    Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with all Re : Sources and the agency personnel, both at an interpersonal level and across all business processes within the wider business environment.

    Health and Safety

  • Undertake all work in a safe manner and follow all company and workplace health and safety procedures
  • Identify new hazards and advise manager or workplace H&S representative / co-ordinator within 24 hours of identification.
  • Report incidents and accidents to manager or workplace H&S representative / coordinator as soon as possible
  • Qualifications

    Experience / Qualifications

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in management accounting and financial reporting
  • Maintain a professional qualification such as CPA / CA or similar
  • Experience in media advertising industry is an advantage but not necessary
  • Experience with Dynamics Navision 2018 (ERP)
  • Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
  • Knowledge

  • Accounting and reporting

  • Skills (including technology)

  • Good Knowledge of Dynamics Navision 2018
  • Good knowledge in Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Fluent in English, Arabic speaking is a plus
  • Attributes / behaviours

    This role requires strong ability to work across multiple departments. Excellent attention to financial detail and time management skills.

    Should have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage the work of the junior associates remotely located in RSS hub in India.
