Information & communication Technolgy Manager
Plan and implement network infrastructure and security at the regional / global level
Develop hardware, software and the network solutions throughout the company, to meet curriculum and administrative needs.
Administrate and maintain networks infrastructure in offices, site offices, projects and vessels
Administration and maintenance of computer stations and software, provide additional support if necessary.
Responsible for regular maintenance programme and resolving failures in hardware and software and ensuring appropriate housekeeping tasks are implemented
Troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provide expert support when necessary.
Ensure that the network is operational during access hours and appropriate back-up protocols are implemented.
Responsible for setting up security parameters and ensuring virus checks are implemented
Monitor the use of hardware and software and ensure all software is licensed
Work with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.
Manage and develop upgrades to telephone + VoIP system at the regional level.
Provide support and guidance to staff in the use of ICT and provide feedback using specialist skills / training / experience.
Train staff on a wide range of applications used in the company
Develop, implement and monitor the company practices for data protection, internet use, e-mail, security and ICT resource management.
Ensure the preparation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and documentation
Produce audits and reports on ICT use and costs, demonstrate best value in provision of products and services
Oversee all help desk activities, respond to escalated issues.
Interaction with internal and external clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
Manage the purchase of required hardware and software.
