ResponsibilitiesAs General Manager, Operations for TikTok in the META (Middle East, Turkey and Africa) region you will build a world class team and set the TikTok strategy for the market.

With a primary focus on growing our user base and content ecosystem, you will manage and execute the Tiktok strategy to identify and foster our users, creators, and partners in the market to ensure a sustainably growing content business.

You will lead and develop teams who manage our communities, creators, music artists and content partnerships, and our in-app content programming initiatives.

You will have a track record of working cross functionally to drive strategic growth initiatives, product adoption and represent our efforts externally.

This role requires the flexibility to act as the internal and external face of TikTok in META while driving the business with your local and international teams.

To establish the TikTok brand and platform in market, you will help define TikTok's local strategy and partner closely with the sales, product, comms, marketing, user growth, T&S, legal, and policy teams in order to support, innovate and effectively grow our user base.

You will be experienced in engaging with key external stakeholders, presenting to large forums and internal teams, and representing TikTok and our values internally as well as externally.

Moreover, you will work to integrate, develop and foster cross functional teamwork among the local and regional teams and the alignment with the global teams.

Key Responsibilities - Responsible for the overall content ecosystem, key partnerships, and user operations to drive growth of TikTok in the market in order to develop a sustainable business.

  • Partner closely with the sales, product, comms, marketing, user growth, T&S, legal, and policy teams in order to support, innovate and effectively grow our user base.
  • Lead and grow a high performing, diverse & inclusive team that reflect TikTok's values and is driven by a culture of empowerment and collaboration.
  • Understand the content ecosystem in market , and drive diversified and safe content on the platform to attract and retain users.
  • Develop local market strategies and drive their successful implementation (DAU, MAU, retention rate etc.).- Act as a key spokesperson for the TikTok business in market with partners, press, policymakers, and other stakeholders, to present TikTok's narrative clearly and with local resonance.
  • Closely partner with the Global Business Solutions team to support revenue efforts.- Interface with creators, publishers, music and media partners.
  • Qualifications- 15+ years of relevant industry experience in a major media or tech business, ideally with a focus on content operations or development, marketing, content partnerships, and / or multi-channel content programming.

  • Intimate understanding of market content and media business landscape; familiar with both traditional and advanced digital marketing channels.
  • Strong insight into digital content strategies and product operations. - Experience working with online communities in building and facilitating content creation.
  • Experience working with policymakers and media outlets. - Proven performance indirectly leveraging cross-functional teams.
  • Experience building, managing, leading, and inspiring creative, collaborative, and high performing teams. - Demonstrated ability growing site and / or platform visitors, exceeding traffic and viewership goals.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to be flexible and meet deadlines in a fast paced, startup environment.- Cutting edge understanding of current social media platforms and trends and the ability to create content that performs against KPIs.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities.- BS / BA in advertising, fine art, design or relevant field; Masters considered an asset.
