The Role

This client facing role will be responsible for :

managing and scaling our Corporate Services division across the GCC,

contributing to and implementing our strategic plans for our Corporate Services division,

driving revenue growth from existing and new clients,

developing new products in the corporate services and company secretary field, and

educating the market and firm on our offering.

The potential to leverage our stellar client base is key to growth; broadening and deepening client relationships and educating clients on the benefits of engaging the firm on their operational and compliance requirements, across the region.

Achieving transformational growth will require gaining trust from relationship partners to open-up client relationships and the development of a pipeline of opportunities to attract the interest of clients.

Reporting to the Lead Partner of Corporate Services (appointed by the MEA Board) this role will work closely with all Partners (corporate partners in particular), Client Relationship Partners and Client Development Managers.

Working closely with the Corporate Services Operations Manager and Company Secretary Manager this role will assume overall responsibility for the efficient and effective growth and expansion of our Corporate Services division.

The Team

The Corporate Services Department provides corporate services and government liaison services to the Clyde & Co business and clients directly across the region.

Our Company Secretarial team is the Registered Agent for approximately 300 offshore companies in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Abu Dhabi Global Market Free Zone (ADGM), Ras Al Khaimah, BVI, Cayman Islands amongst others.

Their services include annual compliance and renewal, board meeting assistance, the legalisation of documents, incorporations, transacting corporate changes, creating and standardising precedents and services, commencing health checks of all types of entities and renewal of operating licenses for FZCos / FZEs, FZ-LLCs and the like and "onshore" entities.

Our Government liaison team processes applications and obtains corporate approvals, advises on government policies and procedures, performs agency and company searches,

authenticates documents and provides public notarization services on behalf of the clients as well as providing internal services for the Firm.

The team consists of over 13 people across our offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Riyadh, and includes the Company Secretary Manager, the Corporate Services Operations Manager, company secretaries, a paralegal, Government Liaison Managers / Officers, a coordinator and a corporate services administrator.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead our Corporate Services division.

Contribute to and implement the Firm's strategic plans for our Corporate Services division.

Identify opportunities with key clients and systematically work through the region's clients to pursue opportunities for the corporate services team.

Collaborate with the legal teams and business to share market and client insights.

Develop and implement a business development strategy that results in repeat business and long-term arrangements with clients.

Package and promote products in a way that engages clients and makes it easy for clients to instruct the Firm.

Take an active role in working on significant pitches to win work and promote corporate services as a valued part of the offering we can provide clients.

Continually identify new services that the team can take to market including, the expansion of corporate services regionally.

Review and set pricing structures that ensure our services remain competitively priced and clients receive value for money.

Maintain an acceptable contribution margin by continually implementing efficiency gains with respect to the team and the way clients are serviced.

Invest and develop the team to ensure they have a rich and rewarding career at Clyde & Co.

Measure and monitor team performance relative to agreed KPIs.

Maintain a close working relationship with partners to collaborate on client opportunities and to ensure internal clients receive optimal service delivery.

Oversee internal service delivery by empowering and working with the Corporate Services Operations Manager and Company Secretary Manager.

Oversee the improvement of systems and processes, from on-boarding, through to execution and billing, for corporate services and company secretarial tasks.

Periodically report to the MEA Board on the growth strategy, key achievements, and challenges.

Work with the MEA COO and Heads of Business Services to ensure the Corporate Services team is supported and structured in a manner to achieve sustainable growth in revenue and profit.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate or equivalent.

Further business qualifications an advantage (MBA, CIM etc).

Ability to interact credibly with senior businesspeople.

Solid and proven experience in a sales and marketing role.

Experience of managing a corporate services (or directly relevant) business or business unit, with a demonstratable track record of profitable growth.

Experience of selling to senior level decision makers.

Ability to create and manage campaigns.

Experience of creating and managing a pipeline of new business.

Skilled at identifying new products and packaging products to create client intertest.

Experience in winning pitches and managing long-term arrangements.

Experience of managing a team, including coaching, motivating and leading by example.
