The TechnicalRepresentative 's primary role is to review all estimates / invoices presented to Etihad Airways by 3rd party Maintenancefacilities.
Also, the Tech Rep will be the primary focal point ofCost control issues with the contracted MRO, ensuring MRO presentedtask man hours & material invoices are reviewed to ensurethey are justified and efficient.
Your main responsibilities inthis role include the following :
Toensure all maintenance event related costs are accurately chargedto Etihad Airways by being fully conversant with all contractualconditions between Etihad Airways & MRO and apply theseconditions to each pre-approval for costs and invoice iaw with theJoint Procedures Manual.
TMonitors & assess eachmaintenance visit stage in regards to agreed work package, over& above works & materials used for entire visituntil completion, including Base checks, Engine QEC visits, LandingGear overhaul scrap, components and repairables at MRO'
sscrap review, identifying salvage parts that can be repaired.Negotiate with the MRO for mutually agreeable charges for over& above works.
Monitor QEC events and approve crossrobberies in liaison with sec and other EY departments.
To Approve all invoices submitted to Etihad Airways for workcompleted by the MRO.
Monitor and assess loan materialsin liaison with EYEng, ensure prompt return of loan items andensure the ordering of materials is monitored to reduce AOG demandcosts.
Identify top issues with the invoice either forclarity or challenging and create an action plan with the MRO toresolve before signing of the invoice within the time limits set inthe Joint Procedures Manual.
Identify trends that may affectcharges in the invoice and recommend action plans.
Liaise with Management team from all stakeholders to ensure targetsare achieved and all over & above man hour+ materialscharges are controlled and accurate.
Develop the project costcontrol database and procedures to enable timely agreement ofmaintenance event invoices in accordance with the Joint ProceduresManual in place.
Recommend contractual terms for inclusion inliaison with Etihad Airways departments.
Maintain apositive working relationship with the MRO.
Collect andcompile progress and cost data, and develop reports for review byEtihad Airways Management. Provides monthly reports, guidance andawareness to Team Lead Representative Engineer to support reductionin costs / invoices at source.
Initiates warranty claimson behalf of Etihad Airways and identify insurance claims.
Provide data in investigations for Quality Lapses andsupport remedies in accordance with company procedures.
Perform other duties that may be assigned to them by the Team LeadRepresentative Engineer or management team.
Deputise forthe Team Lead Representative Engineer during theirabsences.
5 years' experience in the role ofTechnical Representative / Liaison Engineer / Certifying Engineer.
Minimum 10 years aviation industry experience, includingat least 3 years of within the area of Budget and Cost control.
Expert knowledge on aircraft engineering and projectmanagement
Ability to expedite tasks in afirm and diplomatic manner being able to exercise appropriatediscretion and manage commercially sensitive data.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Excellent in negotiations.
High level of proficiency incomputer literacy, in particular, OfficeSuit.
