Membership Serves as the first point of contact for Members, including the new member orientation, basic membership questions, management of member social functions and other club activities, daily maintenance of membership lists and member communications.
Leisure Directs the leisure department; scheduling, club representative with third party providers, working with Facilities Maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working order, manages the lifeguards, creates business plan to set strategy and objectives, training of team, etc.
with the overall goal of improving the leisure experience at the Club.Key Responsibilities of the Membership and Leisure Manager :
Acts as main point of contact for all member social events including creating all event orders, event marketing, invitations, menu selection, RSVPs, billing coordination and onsite representative.
Develops and leads a strategic membership development program designed to increase total membership count and membership dues revenue.
Assists in the development and implementation of advertising and promotional campaigns designed to generate membership sales.
Develops and ensures proper maintenance of an accurate contact management system including call records, database and activity management.
Maintains membership records on all members.
Prepares monthly membership reports for club and owners
Assists in coordination of all club events to include invitations, mailings and other publicity.
Creates new customer journey for membership, stating from the initial inquiry to after the end sale.
Develops annual social calendar.
Creates member benefit program and works closely with local businesses to grow member benefits through different industries thereby adding benefit to the overall membership.
Maintains and develop strong relationships with current members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction.
Effectively communicates with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership activities.
Oversees regular communication with membership base; verbal, email, social media, print, etc.
Networks with community partners including, but not limited to : Chamber of Commerce, local tourism councils, exchange clubs, local corporate executives, business leaders, and media contacts.
Prepares monthly newsletter for members from input given by each department.
Attends management meetings as department representative.
Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
Develops business plan for leisure department setting strategy with clear objectives.
Maintains complete understanding of membership categories, sales processes and new member enrollment processes.
Assists in on-boarding of all new members with new member announcements and orientation information.
Maintains electronic member databases and hard files. Creates and maintains accurate and efficient filing systems.
Serves as initial point of contact for many member and prospective member questions, providing accurate and efficient information in an effort to build strong membership relationships, improve member satisfaction and promote the overall club.
Ensures equipment is maintained and operational.
Enforces all rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications for the Membership and Leisure Manager :
Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college; or six months to one year related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.Other Qualifications :
Ability to read and speak English in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-
workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates use are in English).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
