Role Details - Keyresponsibilities and accountabilities

  • Agree with Sr. DirectorLeasing on objectives. These objectives will outline the amount ofspace to be leased, the time frame required to Lease and the targetrental rate to be achieved, appropriate merchandise mixcompatibility and presentation.
  • Agree with Sr.Director Leasing and the relevant Development Manager appropriatemarketing plans which will issue potential tenant awareness andinterest in the new development.
  • Ensureenquiries are handled promptly, filed and replied to on timelymanner and when necessary and arrange site visits for potentialtenants.
  • Create and maintain a database ofinquiries and potential tenants for re-letting of vacant units,which includes catalogue library.
  • Take theapproved merchandising mix of properties, identity for discussionwith Sr. Director Leasing and Development Manager and the LeasingCommittee a shortlist of appropriate tenants for each lettablespace.
  • Conduct negotiations with more than onetenant for each lettable space and then make a recommendation onpreferred tenant to the Leasing Committee (within assignedproperties).
  • Work with the Sr. Director -Leasing to ensure new developments are completely leased priortheir completion and handover.
  • Prepare leaseagreement and all necessary documents to commercial and legal bindagreement with tenant in co-ordination with HO Legal Department andLeasing staff.
  • Prepare regular Leasingactivity reports and the status of each negotiations held withpotential Tenants.
  • Maintain in conjunctionwith the Legal and the relevant Property Development and CommercialOperations Executives a standard Lease.
  • Workwith Property Operations Executives in putting a strategy for LeaseExtension negotiations, finding where retail gaps exist and whatretailers will best complement those already in theCentre.
  • Ensure compliance with the MAFPSMBU’s Code of Conduct, Departmental policies and HCPolicies and Procedures at all times.
  • Be theadvocate and ambassador of aligning and cascading the MAFP valuesin the assigned area of responsibility and ensure that it isadhered to and exhibit the same all the time.
  • Lead by example thrive to create an honestand open work environment where individuals collaborate / supporteach other as a team and are passionate to achieve a commonbusiness objective.
  • Personal Charachteristic and RequiredBackground Minimum experience

  • Minimum 7 9 years of progressiveexperience in managing all aspects of Leasing function in a highlydynamic organization, preferably Retail / Large Shopping Malls / major Real Estate in GCC or abroad in a similar role
