This role is responsible for the leadership of the proposal process in their respective Geozone, driving the efficient creation of best in class proposals for the Geozone(s) through the commercial operating centre (COC) and in communication with Geozone sales, product line and support functions.
The COC Manager is responsible for creating and managing standard content libraries and tendering formats, analysing and managing tenders and COC workload, creation and delivery of systems training (Salesforce and XP) and expert input into large value critical proposals as directed by the Commercial Operations Director.
The role will proactively create and secure feedback from our existing & new client base on the standard of submitted proposals, increase the efficiency of proposal preparation by directly overseeing the COC and acting as the point of contact with Geozone(s) for all proposals within the COC area.
Proactively and successfully applies oil and gas industry proposal acumen directly to key proposals worked on and indirectly through the COC team.
Supports the Geozone BMs, Sales, Account Managers and Technical Sales and works the respective segment Commercial Director and other key contract stakeholders (credit, tax, legal amongst other functions) as One Weatherford, to deliver clear and succinct technical / commercial value propositions to the customer.
The role has supervisory responsibility for the Commercial Specialist team established within the Commercial Centre

Under the direction of the Commercial Operations Director oversee the creation and management of proposals across the hub responsability
Direct and coordinate efforts to manage proposals across all phases of the commercial life cycle with the customer base, including overseeing the processes deployed by the COC, workload analysis and assignment, standardised libraries by Geozone / country & training requirements
Collaborate with Segment Commercial Director and Geozones to oversee the development of centralized tendering libraries, including Global Price Lists, from content development through to segment review of submission (Utilises workflow features in XP to land review accountability on all areas of the proposal) key facilitator / administrator
Clearly encapsulates and expresses Weatherford’s competitive advantages through control of the most up to date content and best in class messaging
Owns all SFDC proposal Dashboards in order to manager / identify workload. Works with the COC Lead to assign workload on a daily / bid basis
Accountable for the review, alignment, development and execution of standard segment execution / QHSSE / operational modalities and associated templates
Collaborate with the Segment Commercial Directors to design and implement Tender After Action Reviews , won and lost, internally & externally to capture lessons learned and best practices to be employed for future commercial proposal
Actively seek opportunities to leverage lean methodology or simplification in the way we work to drive process improvement and bidding capacity enhancement within the team Improvement of standard process flow and associated tender templates.
