We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join Cochlear Middle East FZ LLC based in Dubai. You will be leading a team of marketing specialists, who are accountable for the day-to-day implementation of marketing activities across the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region.
You will be a member of the MEA management team acting as the country representative in the EMEA group of Marketing Managers.
marketing campaigns; product & product life cycle management; marketing communications; events and public relations.
Develop, Implement and Monitor Marketing Strategy, Plans and Budgets, Marketing Campaigns
In collaboration with the Business Leads and Management Team, develop MEA marketing strategy in line with the EMEA marketing strategy.
Assess and define effective regional and / or country specific marketing campaigns for each target group (e.g. candidates, recipients, parents, adults / elderly, patient groups, medical professionals, etc.
and different points throughout the hearing journey (e.g. awareness, product performance / clinical outcomes, patient benefit, rehabilitation, etc).
Together with the clinical technical and research experts, develop and implement health economy argumentation based on clinical outcomes for treatment of hearing loss in general and in particular implantable hearing solutions.
Develop annual budgets and external expense forecasts in conjunction with the Regional Director and ensure budgets and external expense targets are met.
Lead the Middle East & Africa Product Management
Represent MEA and be an active member in EMEA new product launch (NPL) and roll calls and disseminate relevant information to the MEA team and distributor.
Develop the Region product marketing plan in close collaboration with the EMEA Marketing as well as local peer-level functions (sales, clinical technical, customer experience).
Oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of annual product programs through the product life cycle (including launch plans, training, key selling messages, promotional campaigns).
Oversee localisation of existing Global and EMEA marketing materials and / or create local marketing materials if needed in collaboration with EMEA Marketing (best practice sharing).
External Strategic Partner Management
Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with strategic partners and other external stakeholders covering :
1) Key opinion leaders (KOLs)
2) Research / Alliance partners
3) Government leaders and agencies to influence Public Policy (in relation to Hearing
Monitor, analyse, and evaluate market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities and to successfully build and execute marketing plans.
Share market intelligence insights and data across the regional team and global marketing to ensure appropriate action is taken to position Cochlear as the treatment of choice for patients and partner with country management team to understand and address competitive pressures and changing markets.
Manage Local Marketing Communication Activities
Plan and ensure the implementation of marketing communications activities and projects in the region, including the management of local and international events, websites in local languages, local social media platforms, as well as creative, print and translation / localisation activities, ensuring alignment between EMEA guidelines and regional business needs.
Champion the Cochlear and product brands across markets in support of the management team in order to facilitate the identification and development of business opportunities.
Together with business partners and EMEA Marketing, determine participation in and the content, planning and execution of congresses, symposia, workshops and similar events.
Identify and build relations with agencies and provider
Conduct Public Relations
Develop PR activities and initiatives to drive awareness of hearing loss in general and in particular, implantable hearing solutions in alignment with the EMEA Communications team and Area Sales Managers.
Develop news , stories and editorials for press releases and websites.
Together with the EMEA Communication team define social media engagement possibilities and resource allocation for the same.
Build Regional Marketing Organisation and Capability
Review and further develop the MEA marketing organisation and capabilities in collaboration with the MEA Leadership team.
Ensure we build a high performing team of aligned marketing specialists with clear processes and accountabilities of country marketing roles collaborating cross-functionally to execute business / marketing plans delivering top line growth.
Demonstrate professional leadership of employees, motivating and coaching individuals, recruiting and retaining talent, contributing to employees’ professional development and driving organisational and succession planning.
Enable and promote cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration and synergies to maximise Cochlear’s value.

Key requirements :
Education : University degree in Marketing or relevant subject.
Minimum 12 years of experience with 5 years in senior marketing position
