Job Description - Assistant Vice President PMO (22000036)

JOB PURPOSE

  • Ensure constant monitoring of strategic projects andalignment with the corporate strategy.
  • Support the successful delivery of programs undertaken byALDAR through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting.
  • ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ensureconstant monitoring of projects / programs to meet the organization goals andrequirements.

    EstablishPMO stakeholder management plan and implementation of the communicationframework.

    Implementsand provides guidance related to PMO processes and policies.

    Establishlinks between department’s initiatives and corporate strategy.

    Reviewand filter projects that are operational and strategic in nature.

    Reviewthe proposed allocation of resources against each submitted project.

    Identifyrisks associated with projects, formulate mitigation plans in conjunction withthe business owners.

    Ensuresthat project / department milestones / goals are met and adhering to approvedbudgets.

    Coordinatewith People and Performance on the status of approved projects in the executionphase.

    Participatesin the monitoring of Projects that may consist of a variety of innovationchallenges including brand-led innovation, new business creation and strategicdevelopment.

    Assistwith advising managers and teams on the best use of project managementdisciplines and approaches.

    Actas a reference point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for bestpractices in project management

    Developpositive relationships with department leaders and key stakeholders to enablethe PMO to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting onprojects.

  • Deviation of projects(time / cost / quality)
  • Alignment of implement projects tothe corporate strategy
  • Updated overall project managementplan at all times.

  • YoE / Qualifications / Skills

    RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

  • Min of : 8+ years related experience.
  • YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION

    FIELD OF EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in project management within a large retail assetpreferably in the GCC.
  • TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Ability to liaise, influence andinteract effectively with various internal divisions
  • Excellent leadership and timemanagement skills
  • Strong communication andpresentation skills
  • Strong financial and analyticalskills
  • Qualifications

    Bachelor Degree in Business Management or related field.

    MBA preferred, PMP certification or PRINCE.
