Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesHR Services
Overseeing the HR Services function, Colleague onboarding and the management of the HRIS,
Identifying and implementing improvements for HR Administration processes and system efficiencies that drive HR customer service experience
Educating colleagues on HR Services matters and Providing guidance to the HR Services team for exceptional cases or to facilitate change
Support internal and external auditsCompensation and Benefits
Managing the resort s compensation philosophy, by monitoring and reviewing employee salaries and benefits (internal and external benchmarking) and providing recommendations to management
Guiding and supporting departments in regards to manning. Acting as a liaison between departments and upper management in regards to manpower planning
Educating department heads in regards to compensation and manning
Overseeing the bonus and merit increase process, in addition to Liaising with Kerzner global office for the annual salary survey and ensuring Comp & Ben compliancy
Educating colleagues on the benefits provided by Atlantis, The Palm as a strategic tool to motivate,Employee RelationsTo create an environment in which colleagues are treated fairly and employee issues are dealt with properly by providing colleagues with support / guidance and supplying the resort with insight and recommendations in regard to employee relations issues. This includes :
Developing and driving initiatives to better understand employee relations issues and reasons for turnover, and provide management with insight and recommendations.
Supporting the understanding and interpretation of the UAE labor law and work with Government Relations and / or Kerzner Legal where necessary
Managing grievances and disciplinary matters for senior colleagues.
Cooperating with Security on investigations that require their involvement
Mentoring and training direct reports and departments on best practices
Reviewing, investigating and managing exceptional employee relations casesOther :
Working closely with senior and line managers, providing them guidance or HR, Employee Relations and Compensation & Benefits guidance.
Providing support to the HR team including policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, on boarding, absence management, retention, employee relations, employee reward and HRIS
Networking with local HR professionals
Collaborating with other HR leader to ensure a seamless functioning between all areas of HR.
Educating and communicate to colleagues HR related matters (e.g. education or ramco, reminders of deadlines, updates of policies etc.), either independently or
Recommending, developing and updating policies and SOPs in the relevant areas, as required or as needed
Executing any other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Human Resources.Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
5 years+ HR Leadership experience, preferably in the UAE
Knowledge of the UAE labor law
Bachelor degree, preferably HR Qualification or Master s Degree
Ideally 3-5 years hospitality experience in a senior role, preferably from larger properties or hotel groups
Customer focused with a commercial mindset
