Wood is expecting a contract award by August 2018 for a project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
We would be looking to hire a number of Engineering professionals upon contract award. We will contact you if your CV was found suitable to discuss a project and position details.
We are currently sourcing a Lead Pipeline Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;
Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Engineering
Relevant 15+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas of projects
Experience with another international design firm required
Preferred experience in an onshore pipeline environment within the Upstream and Midstream Industry, including Middle East experience
Able to work in FEED environment as well as in detailed design. PMC and construction experience is an advantage.
Able to assist in the development of onshore pipeline equipment installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance analysis and procedures
Familiar with the relevant International standards and Codes of Practice and competent in the design, specification and selection of pipeline systems to meet the requirements
Experience in the use of onshore pipeline design software (CAESAR-II, AutoPIPE, MathCAD)
A fluent communicator
An individual with strong drive and vision
Skills / Qualifications
Overview a team appointed to execute FEED and any further detailed design, as required
Carry out study and design work using Wood and Client design methods, standards and data, to a high quality and in accordance with Project requirements
Ensure that Wood and Client’s Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are complied
Provide assistance to other disciplines and participate in review meetings, in accordance with Project requirements
Develop, review, and take responsibility for the accuracy of Pipeline Design Basis, Detailed Engineering Calculations & Reports, Stress Analysis, Engineering Specifications, Data sheets etc. to which assigned.
Review and take the responsibility for the Pipeline route selection, Alignment sheets, Crossing Drawings etc.
Develop EPC scopes of work, Input to EPC schedules and Cost Estimate.
Ensure that work is checked (including self-check) and appropriately approved, and is completed within schedule and budget.
Be vigilant for, and advise respective Engineering Manager, of any deficiencies and possible improvements to the established Wood design methods, standards and data and of possible fields for technical investigations, developments and computer programs
Support internal development and continuous improvement activities as required
