The ideal candidate should be an experienced Editor with at least 8 years proven publishing experience across fashion targeted, luxury focused media brands.
Crucially, they must be flexible and have a can-do, positive attitude which shows they are respectful, responsible and dedicated, and by default demonstrate passion, brand understanding and leadership with an audience-first approach to their role.

Leadership & Management
Be the brand’s ambassador, advocate and spokesperson to both readers and the marketing and communications industry
Strategically lead and direct the vision of the brand within the MENA region
Hiring and developing writers, editors and freelancers across omnichannel contributions
Interface with brand managers and the advertising teams to best create solutions appropriate for Esquire Middle East, and drive the business
Work with the Managing Director on driving key business outcomes
Cultivate content marketing strategies targeted at driving traffic, engagement and building brand awareness within the MENA region
Ensure brand voice consistency across all content assets
Work with internal and external collaborators and creative resources to deliver content assets that are coherent with our brand voice and strategy
Be responsible in developing Esquire’s MENA activity calendar and aligning the execution with cross-functional teams
Track and advance the editorial calendar, and regularly measure and refine progress results to apply data-driven insights to future content strategies
Build and monitor the success of a social media strategy for Esquire
Apply SEO, content development, distribution and measurement to effectively tailor content to reach key audiences in the MENA region
With the understanding of the best content practices on each channel, develop & align digital and social content channels
Create and edit content, both written and visual, mobilising storytelling opportunities on all channels owned, earned and paid platforms.
Build relationships with PR and clients and nurture brand awareness, while gathering knowledge of category requirements
Test and implement innovative and relevant methods of measuring content, campaigns and tools, keeping in mind the purpose of the derived results
Work with senior management to continue to build Arabic language offerings to Esquire’s media operations
