The project administrator is dedicated to the management and coordination of Appleton’s Middle East and African project orders.
He or she will ensure that all project requirements are met. He or she works with our global factories and order managements system as applicable.
He or she will be located in Emerson’s Dubai office and will be reporting to the Appleton project manager.
Furthermore, the project administrator is responsible for the management of documentation requirements. This includes drawings, manuals, certifications and other documentation requested by the customer.
He or she also coordinates logistics, export compliance and customer communication for projects.
Interact with Customers to ensure orders are in line with Appleton’s purchase order requirements and agreed Terms and Conditions
Liaise with factories and ensure customer requirements are communicated effectively and completed as per the project execution plan
Coordinate and arrange inspections at factories
Update the Project SharePoint site and ensure information is current
Manage after order issues and discrepancies
Manage the exchange of documentation between customers, Appleton, and other parties
Provide status updates to Project Manager and / or customer
B.A. in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or related field and / or at least 2-3 years’ international project execution / order management experience
Excellent English language, bilingual is preferred
Advanced computer skills required, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Competent in problem solving and detailed oriented
Willing to make decisions and work with cross functional teams
Proficient in reporting
Cultural sensitivity / knowledge of regional business preferences and practices
Ability to multi-task in a high-pressured environment
