  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close.
  • Be responsible for the operation of all accounting systems and records, including, but not limited to :
  • Cash receipts, sales reconciliation, intercompany invoices and reconciliation, expenditures, investments, purchasing, inventory, assets, payroll, cut off, payments, bank reconciliation.

  • Maintain closely and monitor the fixed assets system.
  • Analyse all accounts.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial reporting systems to insure integrity of finances based on sound accounting procedures and controls.
  • Monitor compliance with international accounting principles (IFRS), company procedures, and local regulations.
  • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Apply cost accounting methods to achieve accurate representation of cost center performance.
  • Prepare financial statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.
  • Analyze transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
  • Assist in budget, forecast process.
  • Be responsible for all taxes obligations.
  • Prepare work papers and supporting schedules for the annual financial review.
  • Develop and implement various accounting procedures.
  • Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Ultimately, own the monthly reporting package submission for an entity (end to end).
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 7+ years’ experience preferably in Retail Sector
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards and JDA systems is needed
  • Previous experience with shared service center will be preferred.
  • Able to work within a diverse environment and meet the strict Group deadlines
  • Capacity for analyzing
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Versatility in taking ad-hoc responsibilities / tasks, given the small size of the team
  • Pro-active in identifying improvement areas, and willing to learn and re-apply.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Work knowledge of MS Office applications with an emphasis on advanced Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc)
