Peerpoint is Allen & Overy’s global platform for self-directed consultant lawyers who want to access the best work, clients, resources and bespoke support, whilst working on assignments with Allen & Overy or directly with clients as a legal consultant.
Typical assignments based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai are 6 months in length and there are flexible working arrangements available.
Alternatively, consultants have the opportunity to undertake assignments for Abu Dhabi or Dubai based clients remotely from the UK, Australia, Singapore or Hong Kong.
We are currently looking for qualified lawyers with a minimum of four years' post qualification experience in banking and finance including general corporate lending, project finance, restructuring and Islamic finance.

Banking lawyer supporting A&O’s banking practice in Dubai with the IBOR transition for a number of financial institution clients
Restructuring lawyer working within A&O’s banking practice supporting a number of clients in relation to potential liquidity issues and restructuring options on an ad hoc basis.
Banking lawyer supporting a leading investment bank’s finance team covering conventional and Islamic finance as well as assisting with LIBOR transition project work
General banking lawyer to join a leading global bank to support the transactional team
Successful applicants will :
have a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience at a law firm ranked as top tier for general corporate lending, project finance, restructuring or Islamic finance;
ideally have recent in-house legal experience at a leading financial services institution or corporate (directly or as a secondee);
have a commitment to building a career as a legal consultant and be motivated to operate at a high level whilst working in this way;
have a consultant mindset, including a flexible and adaptable outlook and approach;
have proven project management skills;
have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally;
be resilient, autonomous and highly credible, with exemplary commercial / business acumen, client service ethic and commitment;
have excellent academic credentials; and
have a practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer.
