Job Summary

Performs a variety of Process Engineering duties in the plant to serve as the centralized source of expertise while ensuring compliance with Company strategies commitments and goals.

Includes monitoring performance of plants and facilities, preparing daily performance summary and recommending corrective actions to deal with abnormalities.

Provide complete range of Technical Support to Operations through discipline expertise, fully dedicated in line with the Technical Authority system.

This is to ensure agility in Technical decisions, Quality assurance and seamless follow-up of all Technical requirements for continued, sustained, efficient and safe operations of ADNOC Refining Facilities while ensuring 100% HSE Compliance.

Ensure Continuous Improvement and Profitability growth of ADNOC Refining assets by initiating and championing operational initiatives, supporting Asset Development on Long Term perspective and driving applications of new Process Technology in close coordination with AR Research Centre.

Coordinating with other functions, take part in technical investigations and studies. Ensure company technical, HSE and other relevant standards are followed in Projects / Studies.

Specific Refinery Process Units Experience :

Alkylation Process(STRATCO®), Sulphuric Acid Regeneration(SAR),Butane Isomerization Unit etc.

Key Accountabilities

Job Specific Accountabilities

Collects plant production and operating data, evaluates unit efficiencies by relating chemical and energy consumption to plant throughput and prepares daily performance summaries to monitor plant performance.

Identifies potential problems, prepares reports along with recommendations for appropriate actions and submits to Supervisor for review.

Proposing modifications to existing systems and follow up to ensure proper execution.

Guide and assist in the execution and evaluation of plant Test Runs and special process improvement studies.

Evaluate existing process technologies to improve performance and arrange feasibility studies aimed at adopting new technologies / process improvement program (new process monitoring tools, simulation models, etc.).

Arrange / conduct studies to monitor performance of various catalysts, additives and chemicals aimed at improving performance and economical utilization and enhancing catalyst life

Ensures technical support for assigned units and maintain maximum unit production, plant utilization and the production of quality products as per Company specifications while ensuring Profitability and 100 % HSE.

Participates in audits and benchmarking studies to improve competitiveness and profitability of the assigned units as and when required.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

Support implementation of 100% HSE culture and comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC HSE Standards.

Min Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience / Knowledge & Skills

6 years’ experience in Process / Operations

Computer Literate, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Data analysis and report writing skills, sound problem solving and decision-making skills.
