Job Description and Requirements

Job Purpose

The Senior Accreditation and Planning Officer provides technical advice and support in the implementation of AURAK’s institutional (re)-licensure / reaffirmation and planning as well as program accreditation.

The post-holder advises and assists in the preparation of self-study and compliance reports. He / she will provide training and support across the institution with writing teams, managers and professional staff in the production of documentation for submission to accreditation agencies.

In addition, he / she will liaise with senior administrators on the preparation of unit operational plans, KPI reporting and risk assessment to inform accreditation submissions and reporting.

Minimum Qualification and Education

Essential : Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, engineering or computer science.

Desirable : Master’s degree in business administration, educational administration, industrial engineering, project management, quality management or curriculum.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of : CAA and SACSCOC standards, requirements and policies; policy development, review and audits, quality assurance processes;
  • institutional effectiveness systems and project management.

  • Planning, prioritizing, organizing, scheduling, event logistics, time management, flexibility, multitasking, communication, negotiation, monitoring, analytical, technologically savvy with MS Office skills.
  • Work Experience

  • At least 7-8 years’ work experience in educational or administrative operations;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a quality assurance administration role in a medium to large sized public or private higher education institution;
  • 3-5 years’ expertise in accreditation narrative / evidence production, document management, policy compliance, preferred liaison with CAA licensure and accreditation and SACSCOC accreditation.
  • Professional / Vocational

    Desirable : quality assurance in higher education

    Language proficiency required

  • Native Language Fluency in English
  • Advanced proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English required
