The Role

  • Oversee the financial management, financialplanning / analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, reportingactivities, end-to-end finance operations in the region;
  • supportexecutive management team in offering insights and financialadvices that will allow them to make the best businessdecisions.

    This position is responsible for Middle Eastregion (primarily UAE and Saudi Arabia) and to be based in SaudiArabia. The successful candidate will have to travel in the regionon short notice attimes. Responsibilities

    General FinancialOperations

  • Lead theaccounting functions so that financial transactions, policies,system and procedures meet the organisation's short andlong-term business objectives and comply with regulations,accounting principles and standards
  • Contributeto strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level todevelop and implement accounting systems and processes that alignwith the organisation'
  • s overall vision and its current andlong-term business objectives

    Financial Planning andAnalysis

  • Conductfinancial due diligence and apply accounting procedures
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis for projects across,business units and providing recommendation forimprovement.
  • Budgetand Forecast Management

  • Develop annual budget and ensure it complies with localaccounting standards and in-line with group policies
  • Financial ReportingManagement

  • Direct thetimely and accurate preparation of financial report, such as profitand loss accounts, balance sheet, management financial reports andregulatory reports for fillings.
  • Reviewfinancial reports to ensure they have been accurately prepared andpresent findings and recommendations to the top executivegroup.
  • TaxManagement

  • Accountable for reviewing withholding tax and othercorporate tax matters
  • Collaborate with localauditor on annual audit and preparation of audited financialstatements
  • Keep abreast of key changes inaccounting and taxation regulations
  • EfficiencyEnhancements

  • Monitorand evaluate the performance of accounting policies, systems, andprocedures in achieving strategies objectives
  • Make improvements to procedures and controls, as well asad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities at theorganizational level
  • Develop solutions to meetbudgetary and cash flow goals.
  • Team Leadership

  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team offinance staff to ensure that accounting activities are conductedaccurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevantregulations, laws and standards
  • Requirements

  • Degree in Financial Accounting
  • Certified Chartered Accountant
  • 10years of experience in Engineering Procurement and Constructionindustry, at least 3 years in MNC.
  • Withregional experience in Middle East and can travel at very shortnotice within the region
  • Extensive experiencein financial management, including gathering and analyzing data,organizing reports, and presenting findings tostakeholders
  • Those with experience inTreasury, Tax, Risk Management / Internal Control, Cosec, SGX, SAP,rollout, and Commercial / M&A functions will be an addedadvantage.
  • Ability to strategize and solveproblems
  • Strong leadership and organizationalskills
  • A natural leader, you will also be ableto build a high-performance finance organisation, mentoring anddeveloping the local finance talents.
