Job Role : Budgeting & ReportingManager

Our client, a forward-thinkinggovernment investment institution in the UAE is currently searchingfor a highly motivated Budgeting & Reporting Manager.

Thepurpose of the role is to manage, report on and continuouslymonitor the financial performance of the various CorporateDivisions with particular focus on budget management

Management Reporting :

  • Complete all financial reporting activities as per thetimetable set by the central reporting team. These activitiesinclude reviewing and posting accrual and reclassificationjournals, reviewing relevant AR invoices, updating financialforecasts
  • Prepare and share monthly financialreports for Corporate Divisions and Platforms with the respectivemanagement teams
  • Manage, report on andcontinuously monitor the financial performance of the variousCorporate Divisions with particular focus on budgetmanagement
  • FinancialPlanning and Budgeting :

  • SupportCorporate Divisions in delivering timely & quality 5-yearbusiness plan & budget. This covers management of thisbudgeting process end-to-end
  • Lead thepreparation of the 5-year business plan and budget for CorporateDivisions / Platforms whilst ensuring alignment with the relevantguidance from the central budget consolidation team
  • Incorporate the budget impact of approved workforce plansfor Corporate Divisions and Platforms
  • Ensuretimely and quality delivery of budget submissions of CorporateDivisions
  • Manage the review and sign-offprocess of the budget submissions of Corporate Divisions
  • Finance BusinessPartnering :

  • Partner with CorporateDivision management teams and provide required financial insightand guidance including participation in Division-led initiativesand activities, as required
  • Provide relevantsupport to Corporate Division management in various finance areas,including any additional budget or reporting requirements,financial policy queries, etc.
  • to support decision making and theDivision's ability to deliver against previously definedgoals

  • Review purchase requisitions, contractuploads, work releases, new hire requisitions, etc. initiated byCorporate Divisions and ensure timely responses to theserequests
  • Others :

  • Performance scorecards : Manage the process of : 1) defining Corporate Division scorecardcontents, and, 2) performance measurement of approved scorecard,whilst liaising with relevant stakeholders
  • Process enhancements : Contribute to the identification ofopportunities for the continuous improvement of relevant systems,policies and processes to maximize efficiency
  • Project management : Lead relevant projects, asapplicable / required
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting orbusiness administration
  • Accountingqualification, e.g. CMA, is preferred
  • Minimumof 5 years of relevant finance experience
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Finance systems including HFM (Hyperion FinancialManagement), HP (Hyperion Planning) and Oracle
