The Marketing Communications department handles all aspects of brand management, marketing collateral, promotions, social media, creative content and communications (including internal, external, public relations and media relations).
The department outsources a number of activities to external agencies, managing those relationships and briefing them on work required.
The purpose of the Destination Marketing Senior Manager will be to plan, set up, develop and execute strong relationships between the Russian and CIS markets and EXPO 2020.
The main responsibilities of this role will include :
Significant experience in and knowledge of the travel and consumer digital space including an understanding of content, marketing, product distribution and customer trends;
Strategic planning skills aligned with an excellent market understanding to build a successful content driven destination strategy;
Ability to convert data insights into targeted trade campaigns that deliver on visitation;
Develop planning and pipeline for all content relating to Destination Marketing;
Work closely with the Brand Communications team on the delivery of B2B2C campaigns;
Work closely with the core Destination Marketing Team to ensure that engaging content, Toolkits and Destination Campaigns are built for Travel Trade Shows such as but not limited to ATM, WTM and IBTM as well as specific DTCM Roadshows;
Identify market needs and through Marketing, PR and relationships ensure visiting Expo 2020 is at the forefront of the Travel Trade minds allowing for B2B2C conversion;
Lead the Destination Marketing Content Team while working closely with the other Marcomms Teams to ensure brand and messaging alignment;
Set objectives and evaluate performance of individual direct reports and actively manage key personnel issues;
Ensure that all staff acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate learning and development programs.
10+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications or Digital, as well as a :
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferably in Marketing;
Experience in delivering multi-channel campaigns, including ATL, social media, email, events, and online promotion;
Experience working with senior stakeholders;
Enthusiastic, risk taking, detail-oriented, creative, ability to work in a start-up environment and innovative;
Project management, self-initiating and excellent in working with groups.
