Job Role : COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
The Commercial Directorwill serve as the UAE in-country expert and go-to leader to supportall business areas on local commercial business dealings.
Theselected candidate will provide key leadership for current andfuture bids and proposals in country.
Thisfuture incumbent will :
Direct andlead the development of business cases to support industrialdevelopment, M&A, and a joint ventures
Serve as in-country expert for the Lockheed Martinenterprise on local country contract regulations, including but notlimited to local financial and tax regulations
Provide information to Business Area offset leadership,including country senior leadership / stakeholder desiredindustrial development projects, competitor offset strategies,potential in-country offset partners, to enable evaluation by theBusiness Areas of identified opportunities.
Beresponsible for setting standardized terms and conditions for allUAE contracts with Lockheed Martin, in coordination with theBusiness Areas
Be responsible for drivingenterprise-wide commercial business strategies that support thecorporate country strategies
Well versed inindustrial development and countertrade arrangements that providesa foundation for building required understanding of the UAE and oflocal culture and business processes.
Establish credibility with key stakeholders across thebusiness areas and represent enterprise-wide interests
Serve as the Lockheed Martin Director with thecountry's procurement official
Plays akey role in shaping the Lockheed Martin capture and proposaldevelopment. Interpret and evaluate country specific public-sectoracquisition laws and regulations to devise and implement winningbid strategies and processes
Lead relationshipand negotiations with the Acquisition and Economic Control sectionsof the country's defense organization and the ArmedForces
Work with cross-functional teams toresolve issues and ensure the successful contract award, signatureand execution
Compile and analyze contractualand cost data; maintain and archive historical information inaccordance with company policies and procedures.
Proactively implement controls to ensure proper executionof contract requirements and research requests for proposals.Prepare contract documents authorizing work to commence on a givencontract or proposal within established cost, price, and scheduleobjectives.
Structure, negotiate and managecommercial contracts with regional industry partners
Advise leadership on public sector and defenseacquisition laws, regulations and trends
Manage audit responses / meetings; internal and externalreporting; and develop solutions to complex problems
Make in-depth presentations to customers and partners invarious settings (e.g., events)
Required skills, qualifications andexperience
Advancedknowledge of public-sector acquisition laws andregulations
Relevant experience withdeveloping and managing defense industry contracts with the localgovernment and / or military
Leadership of commercial teams anddeveloping talent
Negotiation and influencingskills
Familiarity with regional DefenseIndustry and markets
Fluent in Englishlanguage (oral and written)
Excellentinterpersonal and organizational skills
Detailand teamwork oriented
Strong communicationskills required
Some international travel maybe required.
Desiredskills, qualifications and experience
University degree or equivalent in law,economics or finance (formal education in business administration aplus)
