Job Role : Manager Procurement & Materials Management
Primary duties and responsibilities :
1.Develop policies and procedures in the areas of Procurement, inventory control, receiving, storage and distribution of materials throughout the company.
2.Organize, supervise and administrate purchase operations.
3.Scrutinizing the material request including technical specifications and initiate purchase actions.
4.Delegate work to subordinates and help them in executing it.
5.Floating and follow up of enquiries.
6.Negotiating with the suppliers.
7.Verification of comparative statement and getting it approved by the respective delegated authorities.
8.Verify and release purchase orders.
9.Co-ordinate with Projects and Stores in procurement process.
10.Co-ordinate with Accounts department for timely payment, Letter Of Credit, Guarantees etc.
11.Oversee the process for the customs clearance of shipments
12.Participate in internal audits.
13.Attend weekly meetings.
14.Prepare budget for the department.
15.Evaluate and maintain the vendor list.
17.Analyse the procurement processes and problems and develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
18.Performance evaluation of the subordinates.
Experience Requirement :
Minimum With min of 10 to 15 years significant experience, with at least 5 to 10 years work experience engaged in the field of Procurement & Material management
