Static equipment that need to assist the company : Tanks, Pressure Vessels (Columns, Drums, Reactors), piping systems, Heat Exchanger, Furnaces / Heaters (including boilers), Pipelines and Pressure Relief devices
Summary of the role :
To provide integrity support for static equipment inspection throughout company areas of operation to ensure all process, utility and associated plants operate safely, efficiently & reliable.
Some responsibilities (But not limited to) :
Improve inspection approaches, and better understanding of static and pipelines integrity to become more dependent on the equipment condition through RBI approach in order to optimize maintenance and inspection plan for static equipment and pipelines
Carry out corrosion related investigations of equipment failures and selection of the required repairs (Specially the non-
authorized by code or the ones that requires Engineer approval as per Inspection codes (API 510, 570 & 653)) and quality control tests to restore equipment integrity
Initiate pre-screening RBI exercise and final implementation to reduce and optimize turnaround scope, maintenance and inspection plan.
Facilitating Risk Based Inspection Workshops and providing the Material & Corrosion input to the development of corrosion control and inspection strategies and methodologies in line with asset maintenance reference plans
Provide technical support and manage improvements in inspection Data Management System (MERIDIUM)
Support to plant inspectors / Inspection Engineers (when, where & how to inspect) and interpretation of inspection findings to guarantee fit for service condition of the equipment
Carry out Fitness for Service Analysis (FFS) as per API RP 579 and know the requirements (to be requested to site Inspectors / Inspection Engineers in advance) whenever an equipment is suspected to have a considerable degradation
Skills and Experience :
Degree in the following engineering disciplines : Corrosion / Metallurgical, Mechanical or Chemical.
Considerable hands on experience in maintenance and inspection of surface facilities in the oil and gas, Refining or Petrochemical industry
Previous experience as specialist in risk based Inspection, Risk Analysis, Risk Ranking and Fitness For Service (API RP 579).
Hands on application of API RP 581 and API RP 584
International certifications in : At least API 510, or 570, (Strongly Recommended to have API 510, 570 and 653);
Risk Based Inspection certification (API 580) a must; API RP 571 will be very advantageous (For setting the credible corrosion Mechanisms);
CMRP and / or CRL will be more advantageous
